25.01.2022 AUGUST 3RD COVID-19 UPDATE: STAGE 4 RESTRICTIONS The important Stage 4 restrictions start this week.... If you are sick, stay home, get tested, then go back home until you get a negative test. If you are positive, please, STAY HOME. Isolate. EBVC remains an essential service and will remain open. EBVC has had very strict COVID-19 protocols for months now. They remain in place. All staff wear masks. All pet owners attending the clinic will be required to wear a mask. A scarf or bandana is not satisfactory. Please leave it ABOVE your nose. As usual an EBVC staff member will be outside the front door to assist with the EBVC protocols. Please call ahead before attending the clinic. Please do not turn up without an appointment. If you are collecting food or medication, please call ahead, pay over the phone and we will have it ready for you to collect from our carpark. We continue to provide free home delivery of medicines to minimise the need for you to leave home: Please call 95793430 to arrange this. Times in Victoria are getting serious. Lets all work together, follow the rules and remain nice to each other. We have employed more nurses and vets to ensure we can continue to work safely. 04.01.2022 Meet Shyla. Shyla is a beautiful 6 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Her owners noticed she didn’t want to walk and play as much anymore and came to see us. When we examined Shyla, she had a heart murmur so we booked her in for some testing. Here you can see an enlarged left atrium on Shyla’s echocardiogram. Careful measurements of Shyla’s heart told us that she needed to start on some medication to help her heart function better. ... A month down the track and we are happy to report that Shyla’s owners say she’s happier than ever and back to doing puppy things. We are hopeful that Shyla will continue to live a bouncy life with the help of some medication. Heart murmurs are more common than you think. This is something the vet will usually discover at the time of a check up.
