24.01.2022 To celebrate this Book Lovers Day, we thought we would take you behind the scenes and share a little more about our Social Club Co-Ordinator here at EBV, Madi Im about to launch EBVs resident book club, albeit online for now. The EBV resident library is filled with an array of books so I am spoiled for choice but am hoping for some suggestions -a great novel to kick off the first book club meeting. What books have you been reading this past week? We'd love to hear your recommendations!

Julian, aka Littlebear Slyd, is a spoon carver and green woodworker based just up the road from EBV, on Park St. Carlton North. In collaboration with Think Thornbury, Julian runs intro spoon carving and knife / tool sharpening workshops as well as private lessons from his home studio.... Julian has been producing green woodworking video content, during isolation and is now offering it for FREE, via his youtube channel, as well as offering a contact-less knife/tool sharpening service, greenwood spoon blanks, and custom knife / axe handles. Earlier this week we spent some time with @clareophyll from @veryediblegardens planting our very first garden bed here at EBV to show our upcoming Veggie Club. We planted a selection of chilies, capsicums, tomatoes, zucchinis, broad beans, cucumbers & sunflowers.... We can't wait until they're ready to eat and share! What plants do you love to grow? Now having moved in and settled into the neighbourhood, we've had the pleasure of getting to know her over the last few months. Inner-city living was the perfect choice for Nicole as she works in the city, so the 5-minute commute was highly desirable for her. 18.01.2022 Residents of EBV, we officially have our very own weather station, located just near the veggie beds on the rooftop of 9 Village Way (access via the website or EBV app) Offering more than just a daily forecast, the weather station gathers data about wind speed, direction, rainfall, minimum and maximum temperatures, and that's just the beginning. ... Our friend Jeremy @veryediblegardens is here to give you a quick overview of everything there is to know about our new weather station! 16.01.2022 When it came to lighting, our Interior Designer @emiliecsmith turned to pendants to create ambience in the apartments. Read about her reasoning for this Newly built properties (usually) come illuminated with downlights, which are functional yet lacking in atmosphere, she said.... To avoid expensive hardwiring, I created pendant lights by combining beautiful electrical cords from Creative Cables with pendants from the likes of Mr Kitly and Rodwell and Astor. Ms Smith had an electrician rewire the pendants. She then plugged the extended cables into wall sockets and hung the pendants in the desired spots with the help of ceiling hooks.

Clark aims to create a world that overloads the senses and gives children an "out of world" experience. You can even attend workshops and learn a new skill!
