25.01.2022 Dear Friends, We would like to personally thank everyone who has shown support, patience and understanding during what is an extremely difficult time for our business and the travel industry as a whole. Please be assured that we are working very hard to look after each and everyone of you. We are trying to obtain the best possible options for each postponement or reluctant cancellation that is arising from this pandemic.... East Burwood Travel has been in business for over 35 years and we are resolute that the Business will survive this virus situation. As you know we were a finalist last year for the Best Leisure Travel Agency in Australia. At the present time we are operating on a skeleton staff and our doors are still open. Office Hours are Mon-Fri 10am - 4pm. All team members are monitoring their e-mails regularly. We excitedly made a couple of new bookings this week for the Indian Pacific in 2021. We foresee in the coming months that the Domestic borders will open and there will be some fantastic deals to see our beautiful country. 17.01.2022 It’s unprecedented times in the travel industry right now. With the current situation regarding the continuing spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) through many countries around the world, airlines and cruise companies have been drastically reducing services to multiple destinations, even to countries not yet affected by the virus. As a result, many of our customers who are already booked to depart or who are already overseas on holidays are experiencing travel disruptions result...ing in an increased workload for our amazing staff and our valued suppliers to try to reaccommodate customers onto other flights / cruises. Due to the urgency requiring us to attend to current bookings, our response time to many of your emails is being compromised. We would ask for your co-operation and patience over the next few weeks and months. As a team we are sticking together but do have reduced hours! Almost all of the tour companies, cruise lines and suppliers including many airlines have suspended all operations until at least April 30th, 2020. If you travel is of purely domestic nature, there are absolutely no restrictions on travelling anywhere within Australia. Thank you so much to our wonderful clients and friends that have offered us so much support and friendship over the 35+ years that we have been in business, especially the past few weeks and moving forward. 13.01.2022 Congratulations Melbourne! After many months of hard work and lockdown, we are finally starting to open up our wonderful city again. Our office will be re-opening from next Wednesday (4th Nov) from 10am - 4pm weekdays. We are all currently at home, working, checking e-mails, home schooling kids, cleaning, resting and hoping that restrictions can start to ease so that we can all get back to planning everyones much needed holidays when this is all over....
