07.01.2022 Hi guys and girls, just a quick update on East Coast Auto Care and how COVID-19 (and the government’s ongoing response) is affecting our business. As a small family business we have to make sure that we minimise any risks as much as possible so that we can stay healthy and keep trading! WE ARE STILL OPEN! It’s business as usual (almost) here at East Coast. We are still open and working as hard as ever, but you may notice a few things have changed:... Our waiting room is no longer a waiting room - think of it more as a ‘drop off’ room. We have a key drop box on the front counter to minimise hand-to-hand contact. Cash sales are still accepted, although we may ask you to count it out for us and place it on the counter until we can disinfect it. If your car smells like disinfectant when you get it back, don’t worry - we probably just wiped it down before and after we carried out the work. If you have any flu symptoms at all, please avoid coming in - we will be more than happy to provide a quote, etc. over the phone, and we can rebook your vehicle if needed. Standard social distancing guidelines, etc. should all be adhered to also. If you have any requests as far as reducing the risk of infection please do not hesitate to ask! Take care everyone - we’ll see you soon! The East Coast Auto Care Team.

07.01.2022 Hi guys and girls! We honestly have the best customers - as some of you may know there have been a few health issues in our family recently, and as such this week we had to close unexpectedly. We have received nothing but support from all of our customers during this period and your support has made our lives easier during a difficult time. We will be back next week ready to go! ... Thank you again to everyone. We truly appreciate your support. Kind Regards, Isaac and Kythera.

01.01.2022 A PSA to all of our current and future customers: There seems to be a pattern emerging whereby customers think that abusing our front office staff is the best way to get what they want. If you want to book your car in with a couple of hours notice, chances are we are too busy to accomodate you. In fact, chances are we will be too busy for the next few days. Calling the young lady behind the counter a ‘slag’ because you didn’t have the foresight to book your car in really won...’t help your chances of being squeezed in. Abusing and/or blaming our admin staff for a perceived slight on the mechanic’s behalf is not only unfair to her, it is highly illogical. As a small business we take customer service very seriously - without our customers, we wouldn’t be in business. Some folk are even if the opinion that if you work in customer service, you should expect to be abused fairly regularly. However there comes a time when a line must be drawn. East Coast Auto Care is now taking a zero tolerance stance on abusive behaviour. We understand everybody has a bad day now and then - if you’re less than chirpy coming to pick up your car, we’ll sympathise with you and help you on your way with as little fuss as possible. However, if you decide to abuse any of our staff members for any reason (we all have a fairly good gauge as to what is ‘abusive’, having been in the customer service industry for many years), you will get an invoice for work carried out so far, you car will be parked out the front (running or not) and you will be no longer be welcome to bring your vehicle to our workshop. If you have an issue with this new ‘rule’, you’re probably one of the people that will no longer be welcome. And a special thank you to all of our beautiful customers who brighten our lives every time they visit - we look forward to seeing you again soon!

01.01.2022 Hi guys and girls! Unfortunately due to a vomiting bug the shop is closed today. We’ll see you all next week! Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Stay healthy!... East Coast Auto Care. See more
