21.01.2022 FRIYAY WAS EPIC THIS AFTERNOON here’s a little snippet, send us a message if you want to know more!

18.01.2022 Silent Night, Holy Night, All is calm all is bright. A way that I really connect with the bible is to take a moment and really imagine what it was like for the people I am reading about. Take Mary the mother of Jesus for example. Being a mum of three myself, I know the feeling of holding your newborn. The feeling of all time standing still. Sure babies make life busier, but there is a rest a slow that comes with a newborn. You certainly can’t hurry them, there is a lot of ...sitting, holding, speaking to, praying for, signing over this little baby. I think about that first year with Jesus, the slow moments where he was held and feed, where Mary would just look upon his face. This reminds me like a gentle nudge, God’s not in a hurry, he is patient. Patient enough to come as baby and grow. I heard someone recently say, even though Jesus ministry was only three years, you never saw him running to an appointment. This thought instantly brings rest to my soul. Through all we have been through this year, we tried to hold so tight to a newfound ..restaslow. Perhaps in the lead up to Christmas, you feel like you lost this rest. For others I know this year has thrown curveballs that have had nothing to do with a global pandemic. Relationship breakdowns, health issues, loss of loved ones.. the list could keep going. Much has already been said about 2020, one thing that I have observed is a weariness over people as we put a bow around one of the strangest and for some most difficult years, they have had. These are the opening Lyrics to a revamped version on the classic song ’Turn your eyes upon Jesus’. O soul are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness you see But just one look at the Savior Is life more abundant and free I guess the thought I’d like to leave us with today on this Christmas day 2020, when we can be in a hurry to leave the year behind, onto the next thing. Maybe we can take a moment or two to slow down and turn our eyes upon Jesus. Unlike Mary looking at her baby wondering how this promise, the light of the world would be the hope of the world. We meet with Jesus the author and perfecter of our Faith, He is the Hope that is the anchor of our soul. Not only does He offer Peace He is Peace, not only does he give us truth he is the Truth and Way and the Life. Jesus came for the weary, for the broken, for the one’s who’s religion came up empty. He came for all so that all would know the love of the father. Don’t be in a hurry when it comes to His presence, may the things of earth become strangely dim when you turn, turn your eyes upon Him. Merry Christmas Love Ps Lou
