05.01.2022 Fiat Ducato News & Advice The windscreen in this digital age. The standard glass windscreen has been thrust into the modern age following a slew of digital advancements and integration with Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Windscreens have now been integrated into multiple ADAS including Lane Keep Assist, Lane Diversion Warning, Lane Steering Assist and Road Sign Recognition & Emergency Braking.... For these types of vehicles, not only do we need to replace the windscreen if damaged, but we also need to re-calibrate the sensors. To do this, we run a series of diagnostic tests to make sure the cameras are reading objects and distances correctly and carry out a road test to ensure all ADAS features are operational. Owners hoping for longevity should keep their windscreens clean and ensure their wiper blades are in good condition to avoid scratches. If a scratch is deep enough, it can hinder the view of the camera causing the ADAS not to function. East Coast Fiat Professional can arrange the fitment of your new windscreen & calibrate to the manufacturer specifications. See more
