25.01.2022 Club training commences Tuesday 23rd of March. Juniors: 5:30 - 6:30pm Seniors (C & B Grade) - 6:30- 7:30pm Seniors (A & B Grade) - 7:30 - 8:30pm... Early bird sessions will continue until club training commences. Tuesdays 6-7pm. Fitness training (open to all club members, both junior and seniors) each Thursday @ 6pm - 7pm on the grass out the front of the Marrara Indoor Stadium.

24.01.2022 Please see the latest advice from Hockey Australia. (12 Oct) https://hockey.org.au/hockey-australia-coronavirus-update-/ We are expected another announcement from HA shortly.... Tonight's fitness training (6pm on the grass out the front of the INdoor centre) and the last Early Bird session which is scheduled for 6pm Thursday this week will still go ahead, but as usual with the rapid developments, things may change at last moment. Please make sure you stick to the current health guidelines. This means: if you have COVID 19 "Coronavirus" please don't attend training or games. Please observe the recommended 14 day isolation period. If your have even mild cold or flu symptoms, please refrain from attending training, games or hockey activities until these symptoms have cleared. If you are at a work-place, school or group that has been quarantined or shut down, please stand down from training, games or other hockey activities until such time as the all-clear to return to work or school. Please notify us if these circumstances arise so that others you may have had contact with in hockey can be advised as needed. A reminder that the best way to prevent the spread of infections such as COVID-19 is to practice good hygiene, including: regularly washing hands with soap and water using a disposable tissue and covering your mouth when coughing or sneezing avoiding close contact with others if you are unwell avoid sharing drink bottles (please bring yours with your name on it) As a club we will be following any directives from Hockey Australia & Hockey NT. 22.01.2022 Sign-on day! Saturday 21st of March from 8am - midday at the Marrara Hockey Centre. We expect a practice match(es) will also be played on the morning. You'll be able to register on the day. New U8 / U11 players who fully sign up to Easts and bring their School Sports Voucher will receive their free starter hockey kit. Details to follow.

21.01.2022 The free junior hockey kits have arrived! Any NEW junior player who joins Easts for the 2021 season will receive one of these fantastic hockey kits for free! The kit includes a full playing uniform, a supporter's polo, playing stick, ball and shin guards. East Darwin Storm accept the school sports vouchers. 17.01.2022 An announcement from NT Hockey ..... With the release by the Northern Territory Government of The Territory’s Roadmap to our new normal the Hockey NT board ha...s made the decision that the 2020 Darwin Hockey League season will commence on or after 18 June 2020. The Marrara hockey centre will open to clubs to commence training from 18 May 2020 (subject to some necessary safety pre-conditions). Our priority at Hockey NT has been, and always will be, the safety and welfare of our staff, volunteers, players and broader hockey community. There is a lot of work to be done prior to the season kicking off, and as such, Hockey NT will be using the weeks leading up the 18th of June to work closely with the clubs to determine around exactly what the 2020 season will look like. We should all be aware that while we have a plan for getting back to life as we knew it, we are far from over the COVID-19 pandemic and therefore Hockey NT will issue a Covid-19 safety plan in the coming days to guide our return to hockey. Strict social distancing and hygiene protocols will be in force at the centre and throughout the season, and therefore our time at Marrara will naturally be different to how it has been in the past, however we are confident that by working together we will still be able to enjoy a great season of hockey and remain safe. Prior to commencing training, clubs will need to have submitted and have had approved by the Hockey NT board, a comprehensive COVID-19 safety plan that is consistent with the plan issued by Hockey NT for the sport in general. We look forward to working with everyone over the coming weeks and months to ensure that our community remains healthy and safe during our 2020 hockey season.

Each junior coach will receive their teams planning folder, cones and bibs at training. 05.01.2022 Sign-on day success! The club had a wonderful turn-out in both memberships and volunteers today at the All Clubs sign-on day. If you didn't get down, don't worry. There is a link to the 2021 membership near the top of our club's webpage. You can also find a link to our uniform order shopping cart here too. Head on down to https://www.edhc.com.au and take advantage of our Before Round 1 early bird special ($100 discount!)... Those using the School sports vouchers, select the appropriate membership, and during the rego process there is a field for the voucher number. If you don't have it yet, just leave it blank.

03.01.2022 Congratulations to the 2019 Easts A Grade Men's team who are a finalist in the 2020 Northern Territory Sports Awards in the category of "NT Local Performance of the Year'. This is a magnificent achievement and testament to all the hard work put in through out the year on and off the field. Unfortunately the awards have been postponed / cancelled this year due to COVID-19. Still, what an amazing achievement to be recognised, nominated and become a finalist. -Well Done!

02.01.2022 The final 'Early Bird' training session tomorrow has been cancelled and the start of our club training, scheduled for next Thursday has also been postponed. The Marrara Hockey Centre has been closed until further notice and this weekend's sign on day has been postponed. Hockey NT expects the start of the season to be delayed. Decisions on this will be made as more information comes to light.... This is a difficult time for not just Easts, or the whole hockey community, but for everyone. We feel for those athletes who have been training for months for Nationals which have recently been cancelled. Keep your fitness up, practice your skills in the back yard so you'll be ready for when the season kicks off later on in the year. -EDHC Committee.
