17.01.2022 Benefits of imaginative play - It provides opportunities for children to identify with the adult world. Practise and role play their understanding and interpretation. - Develops social skills - Encourages imagination... - Develops language skills - Encourages role playing - Develops communication skills - Encourages turn taking Our nursery children have shown a huge interest in our home corner (kitchen) area throughout the week. To extend on this interest educators set up a cooking experience for the children to engage in. The children thoroughly enjoyed taking turns to measure the ingredients into a bowl and mixing the ingredients together. This was an amazing collaborative experience that allowed the children to extend on an interest within the room and enjoy some delicious banana bread for their afternoon tea.



16.01.2022 How amazing is this extension of learning! After some of our preschool children found a caterpillar in the outdoor environment, they extended on this interest by collecting a variety of natural resources to build a home for the caterpillar. Such a special moment watching our little learners exploring the world around them.

10.01.2022 Over the last few weeks our nursery children have shown a huge interest in water. Our Educators have offered many opportunities throughout the day to allow the children to explore this interest. What are the benefits of water play? Water Play gives many opportunities to develop fine and gross motor skills. Children will increase their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination through actions like pouring, squirting, scrubbing, stirring and squeezing.

10.01.2022 Sustainability A worm farm is an ongoing learning experience. It's a terrific way to educate children about the importance of sustainable practices, and has endless learning opportunities including maths, language, literacy and scientific areas. Our preschool children thoroughly enjoy learning and caring for their worm farm.

Fosters peer learning Stimulates critical thinking Encourages problem solving Develops oral communication Our nursery children have shown a keen interest in ball play and have thoroughly enjoyed exploring how to use the balls in a variety of different ways. This includes rolling, bouncing, throwing and kicking. Our educators followed this interest and set up a group painting activity. The children thoroughly enjoyed rolling the balls to their peers across the paint and paper. This created lots of smiles and laughter amongst the children.

07.01.2022 Family connection's: East End Early Education and Preschool are passionate about relationships with their families and the community. What a beautiful afternoon we had yesterday celebrating "Grandfriends" day. It was so lovely watching everyone smiling, laughing and getting to know one another over some freshly baked goodies for afternoon tea.
