22.01.2022 We’re baaaaack........It’s been 8 long months since we last raced & this morning we hit the Nongs. In awesome conditions we had 20+ riders. Thanks to Glenn Newnham & Maxi for hosting. Today we had 2 groups, being A/B graders & the 2nd C/D graders. If any D/E/F graders want to come we will create a 3rd group to cater for you. We will continue to ride every Sunday & hope to see you all next week. Once again leaving The Basin Shops at 7.30am. Now that Uncle Dan has lifted the 25...K rule, all members are able to ride & are welcome. Finally we will be ready to race before Christmas if the rules & governing body regulations allow. We will keep all informed via the member email distrubtion list & here on our Facebook page.

22.01.2022 Another great turn out this morning for weekly club ride. Further to the latest COVID safe announcements today, we are kicking off racing at with Race 1 of the Croydon Cycleworks Twilight Crit series at METEC next Tuesday 24th November. All entries & payments must be made in advance online via Entry Boss; https://entryboss.cc... Registrations are open now & close at 4pm on Tuesday. If you’re new to Entry Boss, please don’t leave it until the last minute & enter ASAP. If you need any assistance with getting set up on Entry Boss &/or registering, please reach out to Juanita at; [email protected] We have checked with VCV & CV & we have the all clear to race. Clearly we can’t distance by 1.5mtrs during the race. Please make sure all bunch passing manoeuvres are called early & give the bunch you’re passing a wide berth. If your aren’t comfortable with this, then please give racing a miss until you are. See you on Tuesday. Details of the race for Saturday 28th Nov will be confirmed during the week.

19.01.2022 Sending out a massive Birthday shoutout to Max Michelson who is 65 years young today. There is no-one more passionate & dedicated to our club. He’s always up & about. Nothing is too much trouble for Max & he works tirelessly as Club Captain. Have a great day Maxi, we miss you & cant wait to see you at a race or club ride very soon.

12.01.2022 Greetings members, as COVID-19 restrictions ease, we are pleased to announce the return of our Sunday club ride this Sunday 8th of November. Depending on numbers, like previously, there will be a hot group hosted by Glenn Newnham & a mild group hosted by Adam & Maxi. We will meet at the Basin shops at 7.25 for 7.30am departure.... We need to ensure we adhere to the following COVIDSAFE protocols: Groups are limited to 10 riders. Riders must bring fitted masks and wear them when not riding; e.g. waiting at shops before the ride, when ordering post ride coffee etc.... All individual riders must ensure that you ride within the your 25km radius. We will be looping up & around the Olinda/MtDandenong side of the Nongs, so if this isn’t within your 25km radius, then you will have to give this Sunday a miss. Here is an indicative map of the possible hot group route to assist you in deciding. The Basin to The Basin via Sherbrooke Rd, Kallista-Emerald Rd, and 5 other stops; https://goo.gl/maps/iXeF6FFARzHg1MCi8 We plan to do this every Sunday if the numbers are there. So if you cant come this Sunday because you’re outside the 25km radius, you will be able to join us the following Sunday 15th of November. We plan to ride for 2-2.5 hours & meet back at Basin shops for post ride coffee’s & debrief. Please wear club kit if you have one (new or old). Please make sure you’re self sufficient with spare tubes, bidons etc. These will be no-drop rides, Glenn & Adam/Maxi will ensure there are meeting/regroup points along the way.

08.01.2022 Howdy Easterners, here’s the latest from the ECC vault. 12 months seems like a lifetime ago........Here’s the pics from racing on 15th of October 2019, the first race of last seasons twilights crit series. Only the cycling gods know if we’ll be racing this side of Christmas, or early in 2021??? However we are pleased to announce that when we do, Croydon Cycleworks will once again be sponsoring our Tuesday Twilights Crits series. Chapeau David & crew ...
