25.01.2022 Cremorne Bowls and Community Club has punched well above its weight to take home the Fitzgerald Trophy for the leading club in Bowls South for the 2019/20 season. 23.01.2022 The Two Rivulets Circuit now holds special significance for well-known Risdon Vale local Ann Harrison, with a dedicated trailhead recently installed in her honour. 22.01.2022 Clarence City Council has taken steps to become more energy efficient with the installation of 2,400 new LED streetlights across the municipality. The installation formed part of the Great Southern Lights project a collaboration between six councils, the Local Government Association of Tasmania and TasNetworks that will see streetlights changed over to 14 Watt LEDs. 21.01.2022 Eastern Shore locals have demonstrated their support for one of their much-loved retailers, saving the Rosny Park Ishka store after it was announced it was entering voluntary administration. 20.01.2022 A community focused café on the Eastern Shore has expanded its operations after opening a new store in Rokeby. Audrey Coffee opened in Rosny Park in January 2019 and has become a popular establishment for many locals. The café is run by Peter Ladyman and Luke Wilcock who are both proud Lindisfarne locals.... They decided to open the new café after they heard that the current owner of Sideline was open to selling. 13.01.2022 Clarence City Council has collaborated with its local partners to create and publish 10 short ‘how to make’ recipe films focusing on 10 easy-to-find Tasmanian vegetables seasonal, canned and frozen. 12.01.2022 The Risdon Vale Bike Collective has bought a new ute and a fleet of mountain bikes thanks to grants from the Tasmanian Community Fund (TCF) and the Stronger Communities grant program. In partnership with the Risdon Vale Neighbourhood Centre, the Risdon Vale Bike Collective received a grant worth more than $28,000 from the TCF for a new ute that will be used in different areas for each program. 11.01.2022 A vital link has been added to the Clarence Coastal Trail with works now finishing on the new Cremorne to Lauderdale track. The 3.8-kilometre new section of track traverses the coast between Cremorne Beach and Mays Beach, offering spectacular views across Frederick Henry Bay to Primrose Sands and the Tasman Peninsula. 04.01.2022 The ‘missing link’ of the Cremorne Spit Track has begun construction, with the Pipe Clay Coastcare Group benefitting from a $20,200 grant from the Tasmanian Community Fund. 03.01.2022 Camping and outdoor retailer Anaconda has partnered with Australian snow brand XTM Performance for the fifth consecutive Heat the Homeless appeal this winter. The Heat the Homeless appeal is run across all Anaconda stores across Australia. 01.01.2022 Clarence Youth Services has re-started many of its programs after COVID-19 put a halt to face-to-face interactions earlier this year.
