22.01.2022 Our 2021 pre-season officially kicked off last night at Karoonda Reserve! Once again we had a great turn out from returning and new umpires, ready to develop their skills and fitness for the 2021 Season. Check out the video for some great aerial footage capturing the night!
22.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came down to our Information Night last night at Karoonda Reserve. After the success of the 2020 Info night, it was great to once again see more than 100 prospective umpires and parents join us to learn more about umpiring and how the factory operates. We hope to see all the new faces join us for the 2021 season!!

20.01.2022 Huge congratulations to Dylan Cox who will today umpire the WAFLW Grand Final up at Joondalup Arena Saturday 2:35pm. In just his first year in the WAFL Talent Academy, Coxy has made an immediate impact and has been rewarded with the women's GF. Run well Coxy!! Coxy’s game will be on Channel 7 from 2:30pm.
20.01.2022 SOLDIERING ON IN 2020! It was fantastic to see nearly 100 umpires at training last night! Back training for the last 3 weeks, there continues to be outstanding training attendance with over 100 umpires attending our first session 3 weeks ago. Braving some cold & wet conditions we continue to demonstrate our resilience, with outstanding numbers attending training. ... Umpires have been completing fitness, skills, and theory sessions, demonstrating their appetite for a return to football very soon.

17.01.2022 2020 INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION EVENING Thanks to everyone who came along last night. It was great to see over 100 people attend the information evening. We hope to see as many of you as possible throughout the season. A big thank you to Cam Douglas, the Community Umpiring Coordinator who attended the evening and spoke to the prospective and returning umpires. ... 16.01.2022 Congratulations to former EFDJFUA umpire Jeff Dalgleish who will officiate his 200th AFL game this weekend! We wish Jeff all the best on this major achievement and thank him for his continued support of the EFDJFUA.
16.01.2022 DEBUTS AND A MILESTONE. Round 1 of the WAFL season gets underway tomorrow and with its commencements comes some great achievements for some of our EFDJFUA Umpires. Luke Caifano will make WAFL League debut this weekend! The Merv Rose Medallist will officiate Claremont vs East Fremantle in the goals this weekend. Luke's debut is a result of his elite work ethic in the pre-season as he looks to take his umpiring a step further in 2019.... EFDJFUA Umpire Jordan Fry officiates his 50th WAFL League game this weekend. This is a terrific effort for Jordan so early on in his career. Congratulations on this significant milestone. We also have some great news for our recently promoted EFDJFUA Umpires. Conor Mannix will make his WAFL Colts Debut as he officiates Swan Districts vs East Fremantle. Senior Squad coach Jack Meotti will also make his WAFL Colts debut in the Peel Thunder vs West Perth clash on Saturday morning. A great achievement coming back from an injury ridden 2018. Another significant achievement comes from Curt Miller. Curt was the recipient of the Ross Capes Medal. The Ross Capes medal goes to a field umpire who has displayed remarkable effort over the pre-season on and off the field. Congratulations to Curt as he sets himself for a big 2019. We wish all these umpires the best for round 1 of the WAFL season!
15.01.2022 MUNEERAH SIGNALLING GOALS WITH THE WAFL. East Fremantle Goal Umpiring Coach, Tiana Fry, has been coaching Muneerah Foster at training in conjunction with the SMF and ERCWA. Over the past few weeks, Muneerah has had the opportunity to come down to training and work on her umpiring skills and increase her knowledge of the game. Tonight, Muneerah had the experience of training with the States best umpires at Ernest Johnston Reserve to further develop her umpiring skills. Pictured at WAFL training.

13.01.2022 ALEX CROWHURST WAFL LEAGUE DEBUT We would like to give a huge congratulations to our senior coach and President of the EFDJFUA, Alex Crowhurst who will be making his WAFL League debut this weekend. Alex will debut on Sunday 2.05pm at New Choice Homes Park umpiring the East Fremantle vs Swan Districts clash. The game will be broadcast on Channel 7 so make sure to tune in. Alex is an unassuming, humble and committed umpire who has performed consistently over the last two seas...ons in WAFL Reserves. He has worked hard this season and has performed exceptionally well, ensuring he earned his place in League football. In just his third year on the WAFL panel and at the tender age of 20, this is a significant achievement and one you should be proud of. On top of this he is a committed leader at juniors, sharing his wisdom and being a great role model for younger umpires. He dedicates his Sunday afternoons to help develop our Development Squad umpires and is an approachable mentor for the juniors. We wish Alex all the best as he steps afield on Sunday alongside two other East Freo factory products in Jordan Fry and Curtis Snadden.
12.01.2022 Today on #InternationalWomensDay we are celebrating the continual growth of women's involvement in umpiring football. This year we have seen our highest number of female registrations with 10 females set to take the field for the 2020 East Fremantle Juniors season. We are incredibly proud of the female umpiring products that started their career at the EF District.
12.01.2022 LACHLAN BOWIE WAFL COLTS DEBUT Congratulations to Lachlan Bowie who tomorrow umpires his first WAFL Colts match. Lachlan debuts in the South Fremantle v Claremont clash at Fremantle Oval. Since progressing through our junior ranks the last few years, Lachlan has continued to develop his umpiring in the Perth Football League. Promoted to the WAFL Academy in 2020, Lachlan is rewarded for a number of years of hard work and dedication. ... Congratulations Lachie, and best of luck from everyone at the EFDJFUA!
11.01.2022 Congratulations to all our umpires that were rewarded with a Grand Final appointment over the weekend. The standard of umpiring was first class and was a great way too finish off the 2020 Junior's Season. The way every umpire presented themselves, listened to feedback and pushed through some unfavorable weather was great to see.

RESERVES (9:15AM)- Curtis Snadden (F), Tiana Fry(G-emergency) COLTS (12:10PM) - Alex Crowhurst (F), Conor Mannix (F), Luke Cafaino (G). All these umpires started their umpiring journey at East Fremantle and great to see them on the big stage.

05.01.2022 CURTIS SNADDEN BRINGS UP 50 WAFL LEAGUE GAMES! The EFDJFUA congratulates life member Curtis Snadden on reaching 50 WAFL League games. Curtis brings up his milestone in the Subiaco v East Perth clash at Leederville oval. Since progressing onto the WAFL panel some years back, Curtis has continued to umpire to a high standard and cement himself in the core group of league umpires. Curtis' influence and contribution to the EFDJFUA saw him duly recognised as a life member in 201...7. It is fantastic to see former umpires continuing in their stride and making positive contributions at higher levels. Once again, congratulations Curtis. All the bery best for the game this weekend!
05.01.2022 AFLW GRAND FINAL APPOINTMENTS. A massive congratulations to EDJFUA Umpires Jordan Russel and Tiana Fry who will be flying to Adelaide to officiate the AFLW Grand Final between Adelaide and Carlton. Their appointments are a testament to their hard work during the pre-season and their ability to perform at an elite level which has been on display throughout the AFLW season. ... Good luck Jordan and Tiana!
04.01.2022 DYLAN COX WAFL COLTS DEBUT The EFDJFUA extends a massive congratulations to Dylan Cox on his selection to his first WAFL colts match. Dylan makes his debut in the Perth v Subiaco clash at Lathlain Park on Saturday morning. Dylan has worked extremely hard for this opportunity. Despite coming to umpiring later than most others in the group, Dylan has always demonstrated an attitude to improve and get the best out of himself. He is duly rewarded for a number of years of commit...ment and application. On top of this, Dylan is an exemplary leader and role model for others to aspire to. He is always offering a hand at association events and also willing to provide feedback and advice to younger umpires who are just starting out. Congratulations again Dylan, and all the best for the game this weekend!
04.01.2022 GABBY SIMMONDS WAFL LEAGUE DEBUT. We would like to congratulate EFDJFUA umpire Gabby Simmonds as she makes her WAFL League debut tonight as a field umpire. Gabby has put in an exceptional season of umpiring. Her elite preparation, willingness to learn and dedication has earned her a spot in league football this week. ... She is a great role model for all aspiring umpires. She still finds time to give back to our district, filling in for games when she can. Gabby will make history as the first female field umpire in WAFL history and we wish her the best of luck. Well done Gabby!
