23.01.2022 Thanks to recent rain, some of our rivers are flowing nicely including Boggy Creek. Lake Tyers estuary is continuing to fill and is currently at 1.55m. We are watching the height and will continue to speak with community and other agencies as the lake fills up. 15.01.2022 It isn’t all about fishing for these guys. With a little help from their friends, the Marlo Angling Club have been busy working on erosion control along the foreshore near the boat ramp in Marlo. Great job protecting the boat ramp as well as looking out for the environment. Just what this club is all about. Funded by the EGCMA’s RRAP Angler Grant Program and undertaken with assistance from Moogji Aboriginal Council East Gippsland Inc., East Gippsland Shire Council, Ethos NRM

11.01.2022 Good news for Glossy Black Cockatoos. With food and homes in short supply following the devastating 2020 bushfires the ADF have leant a helping hand to BirdLife Australia assisting with the delivery of Cockatubes aka artificial hollows for the birds. Donated by Landcare SJ, these Cockatubes will be installed in sites within East Gippsland. With a promising flourish of food regenerating in burnt areas it is hoped these birds will again be able to remain and flourish themselves within their home range. This project is part of the Australian Government’s Wildlife and Habitat Bushfire Recovery Program National Landcare Program
