22.01.2022 Check out some beautiful gifts for your kids just in time for Christmas.

21.01.2022 My grandmother (mums mum) used to read this poem to my mum every year. Since she passed away 16 years ago, I have read it to her, this year our 10 year old read it to her via FaceTime, lets just say there was some tears. On the twenty-fifth of April, Far across the sea, Our brave Australian soldiers... Stormed Gallipoli. And tis their deathless glory How they gained the height. And with fixed bayonets charged And put the Turks to flight. Down the long, long ages, Glory will ever shine On the men who fell in battle Fighting for me and mine. "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."

21.01.2022 Well that’s us for a few days, we are going to have some much needed down time with the family, we hope you all have a Happy and safe Easter, we will be reopened on Tuesday 6th April.

21.01.2022 Looking for a cleaner in Sale for now till the new year mid January. If you’re interested please send me a message. It will be 2 hours a fortnight.

20.01.2022 Dang it, all regional areas in Victoria need to wear a face mask when leaving their home as of 11:59pm Sunday night.

20.01.2022 Update - As we head into our second lock down for the year, things for us as a business remain pretty much the same. Hayden will be wearing his face mask from tomorrow, we ask if any clients that are unwell or dont need to talk to him remain indoors for their own safety and Haydens. If any clients need to pause their regular mow due to the restrictions thats completely fine as well. Just send Holly a quick text/ email/ call. We did it once we can do it again

19.01.2022 Well at least we can spend some time with Hayden at home today. Hope you are all staying dry. ~ Holly

19.01.2022 Please be gentle with people, this world can be hard enough, dont add negativity unnecessarily.

14.01.2022 R U Ok? Today is R U Ok day. Some days I feel like the answer for me is no. With everything that is happening, some days I want to just sleep and not do anything, but thats completely ok. Everyday is a new day, wake up each morning with a clean slate. If you are not feeling ok today or any other day, call a friend and reach out. If you know someone that may be having a tough time, call them and chat. If you feel like you have no one to talk to my number is 0418690019, I would love to chat. I hope you all have a great day today

14.01.2022 This is relevant right now with everything that is happening around the world but even more importantly for business owners in Victoria especially in metropolitan Melbourne. Fingers crossed the government can pull their fingers out and either ease restrictions earlier than what they say they will or help businesses stay afloat till they can reopen. A memory of mine from a year ago. Running your own business is bloody hard work, especially when you are raising 4 kids. What you see is only 10%, there is sooo much behind the scenes that you dont see, the many calls & enquires throughout the day/night/weekends, quotes in between school drop off, pick up & sleeping babies. But I wouldnt have it any other way . Its taken nearly 4 years to get where we are. We are very grateful for our loyal clients to help us to continue our business.

14.01.2022 This is my favourite song and this choir is absolutely amazing. This song was the song that was playing on the radio when our eldest was born nearly 11 years ago.

13.01.2022 To say this week was a doozy is an understatement. It kind of went like this. Monday - work Tuesday - rain and 1 sick child Wednesday- rain and another sick child... Thursday- no rain but exhausted parents, another sick child and a sick mum overnight Friday - no rain but Dad did everything so mum could get better, then another child in the evening I’m looking forward to feeling myself again and being able to get to everyone’s lawns. I do feel very lucky that we are our own bosses and we can work our work life with our kids.

12.01.2022 Changed the dates from now till mid January

10.01.2022 Its ok to be sad right now

09.01.2022 And another one

08.01.2022 Hoping everyone has had a great long weekend so far, the sun has been amazing today. Just wanted to let you all know we might be quiet on here but we are still running as normal. With winter now here things will really slow down for us, which is great for family time. Hoping you are all well

08.01.2022 I feel like an idiot. Im driving home from work, Ive just spoken to my nan who has confirmed she is in, what she calls, lockdown. We are alright love. Sh...e said. Your grandad and I will be fine. We have the garden and itll be good to catch up on things around the house. She wasnt panicking. She wasnt running to Asda to stock up on pasta. She wasnt afraid. Five minutes later Im driving over the bridge toward my house. I look to my right and theres an elderly man standing behind the bridge barriers, looking out into the distance. Oh no. Was he panicking? Was he all alone and afraid? My fear got the better of me, and I turned around heading back in the direction of the elderly man. I pulled up next to him and wound down my window. Excuse me sir, are you ok? Can I help you at all? He turned around and looked at me. Im ok love. Im just admiring the view. Lovely day isnt it... Wow, I really am an idiot. He tipped his hat, gave me a smile and walked off in the direction of home. As I walked into the house I heard the sound of BBC NEWS. New government advice will change our lives as we know it. That familiar fearful feeling sat heavy on my chest. What is going to happen? Will we be ok? I dont know what to think... Suddenly, an elderly couple appeared on the television as they were being interviewed by a news reporter. Me and my husband are social beings. Said the elderly lady. We will find this isolation hard, but we are made of stronger stuff than that. We are ready for anything and we are unafraid. We will be ok. They are the ones at high risk. They are the ones categorised as the most vulnerable. They are the ones facing a more fearful time than any. Yet in all of this, they are the most calm. The most brave. The most hopeful. They arent stock piling pasta and toilet rolls. Yet they face the longest isolation. They arent spreading feelings of anxiety and fear, because they dont have Facebook. They arent refusing to stay indoors for fear of boredom or a cancelled plan, they are following advice for themselves and for others. Lets look after our older generation, the backbone of our society. Let us follow in their ways and unfollow the things that cause us to be anxious. Lets remember that social media is not a reputable source of news at this uncertain time. And most improbably, lets remember to stick together and not give in to the hysteria. This is a time to be kind. Trust that your friends and your neighbours and the kindness of strangers will help you through if you find yourself in need of support or provisions. Look after the elderly. Look after the vulnerable. Look after yourselves and look after each other. As said in 1939, at a time much bleaker than what we currently face - Keep Calm and Carry On. This too shall pass.
