If you are unwell, please do not visit either Club. If you are showing signs or symptoms, you will be asked to leave. Both Members and Guests are welcome at Easts. As the Covid-19 situation evolves, we reserve the right to exclude patrons residing in Covid-19 hotspot postcodes. Both Members and Guests must sign in upon entry AND sign out upon exit. Guests must provide acceptable ID and not reside within the 5km radius. When signing in, a phone number is required for tracing purposes. Members only need to provide a phone number once. Maximum number of people within the Club still applies (based on 1 person per 4m2). Groups must not exceed 10 and must be seated unless moving between areas. Unfortunately our courtesy buses are not currently running. Thank you again for your patience and support.

19.01.2022 Christine shouted me to dinner tonight at the Valley Restaurant at Maitland Golf Club for my birthday and I have to say it is one of the best meals I have had f...or a long time. We even got to meet the owner Chef Jordy who is rightly proud of what they are serving up at the restaurant. We had Asian lamb cutlets for our main with some delicious sides and then had a wonderful dessert which was a spring roll filled with chocolate ganache with a sauce which included blood orange. We would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a great feed. I have included pictures of our mains and dessert. See more

19.01.2022 GREAT NEWS Following confirmation from the NSW Office of Sport, Golf can now be played in Groups of 4. Easts Timesheets have been amended and are available 7 Days a week for Members.... Visiting Golfing Members will be provided access on select weekdays at this stage. Social Distancing measures are still in place and players are asked to adhere to the conditions of play.

14.01.2022 Important Update re: COVID-19 We are currently OPEN at both our Clubs, however due to the recent government announcement the Board and Management have made the decision to cancel the following Club activities: All bowls Raffles... Housie Entertainment Promotions Courtesy Bus Services Gymnasium In addition, the Club has instituted new practices to ensure the safety of our patrons and staff during this time. The Club has increased cleaning of "high touch areas" including bathrooms, door handles and gaming facilities. We have reduced the capacity of the club's main lounge and dining facilities by removing tables and chairs to encourage patrons to practice social distancing, which means maintaining a distance of 1.5 meters from other people for an extended period. - Board and Management

13.01.2022 WE ARE BACK Following the recent government relaxation of the conditions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board and Management are pleased to advise that East’s Leisure and Golf will be re-opening on Monday 1st June at 11am and due to the on-going renovations the East Maitland Bowling Club will re-open on Wednesday 3rd June at 10am. To allow the Club to comply with the government restrictions the following must apply;... ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Open to members and their guests ID scanned for all on entry and exit. Hand Sanitizer use CAPACITY Restricted numbers in areas of Club. Once the Clubs capacity has been reached no-one will be able to enter until someone leaves. SOCIAL DISTANCING Restaurant/Café maximum table booking is 10 people. Walk-ins allowed (providing maximum club capacity is not exceeded) 1.5m social distancing provisions will be in place. CLUB OPERATIONS Bar Service for Drinks TAB and Keno available NO promotions, raffles or housie Kids area and function area CLOSED NO courtesy bus services Our ongoing priority is for the health and safety of our members, guests and staff so this will mean that we will have protocols in place when we re-open including 1.5m social distancing provisions, enhance hygiene and cleaning processes and collection of information for the potential contact tracing. One of the main conditions of reopening is that the number of people does not exceed one person per 4 square metres. On behalf of the Board, Management and staff we would like to thank you for your understanding and your needed co-operation with the restrictions that have been placed upon the Club by the government with the re-openings. 06.01.2022 ** IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR MEMBERS ** After the recent announcement by Prime Minister Scott Morrison, which limits non-essential public gatherings of more than 100 people, we have been forced to make some difficult decisions relating to the ongoing Club operations. Even with these changes the Club will remain OPEN and is committed to providing a safe environment for our members.... With the clarity we have received today from ClubsNSW, that the 100 person cap relates to each enclosed area, the following operational changes will take effect immediately, from Thursday 19 March 2020, until further notice: BOWLING CLUB (Banks Street) - Access will be restricted to our seven enclosed areas, to a maximum capacity of 100 persons (including staff) per area. For your information these areas include: Billabongs Family Restaurant Riley’s Sports Lounge Main Lounge Bowls Lounge Indoor Gaming Lounge Outdoor Gaming Lounge Scarborough Function Centre Within all these areas the Club will be encouraging the social distancing of 1.5m. GOLF CLUB (Tenambit Street) - Access will be restricted to our six enclosed areas, to a maximum capacity of 100 persons (including staff) per area. For your information these areas include: The Valley Restaurant Main Lounge Indoor Gaming Lounge Outdoor Gaming Lounge Sports Lounge Fairways Function Centre Within all these areas the Club will be encouraging the social distancing of 1.5m. Each of these enclosed areas will have no more than 95 seats (if the areas space is sufficient to allow this) each to provide adequate social distancing and assist us to manage capacity. Select Gaming Machines have been switched off to provide an adequate buffer for social distancing The Billabongs Family Restaurant and The Valley Restaurant will reduce trade to 5 days per week with both restaurants closing on a Monday and Tuesday. The Billabongs Family Restaurant and The Valley Restaurant have designed take-away available with The Valley also providing delivery to certain areas. Griffins 147 Café is currently closed. All use of the bowling greens has ceased under the direction of Bowls Australia and the Royal NSW BA. Free weekly entertainment has been cancelled. Ongoing promotional events have been cancelled. This includes Cash Housie, Bingo, Euchre, Trivia, Kids Disco and Poker. All raffles have been cancelled. The courtesy bus will not operate. The gymnasium will be closed. The Club has implemented several measures to ensure that the Club is clean and sanitised. The Club has also been proactive in encouraging the recommended social distancing of 1.5m throughout the venue The Board and Management wish you continued good health and thank you for your understanding and your continued support during this time.

05.01.2022 Attention Members Due to the recent announcement by the NSW Government in relation to increased restrictions on Fitness Centres and Gyms effective from the 1st August 2020, the Club has made the difficult decision to postpone all Gym Classes until further notice. Easts Fitness Centre will continue to trade with normal hours, however the cancellation of classes will allow for our team to focus on Covid Cleaning and the enforcement of social distancing measures as require...d by the NSW Public Health order. 02.01.2022 To our Members and valued Customers Further to measures already undertaken and for the safety of our community, our golfers and our staff, Easts Leisure and Golf has made the decision to close the ProShop and Golf Course, effective immediately. This is not a decision our Board of Directors and Management have taken lightly, but the safety of our staff, members, contractors and guests remains our priority. Extra precautions had been taken during this fragile time to allo...w for our golfers to still enjoy the course, however, as more information about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) comes to hand, we feel significant risk still remains if we continue to keep the golf course open. This decision was made after much discussion and consultation over the previous few weeks with additional information sourced from the Clubs industry representation.
