18.01.2022 Welcome Patricia to our Thunder family. Patricia joins Luke as our newest senior trainer. Patricia brings a wealth of knowledge to East Sunbury Football Club. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Exercise Science at Victoria University, after already completing a degree in, and working as an Occupational Therapist in the Philippines. Patricia is currently completing My Sports Medicine Australia qualifications, obtained her Level 1 licence as a Strength and Conditioning ...Coach from ASCA in 2020, and AFL Sports Trainer qualifications in 2019. Patricia is an easygoing, approachable and passionate person who loves coffee, cycling and her work as a barista. 09.01.2022 ESFC DECISION ON SEASON 2020 East Sunbury Football Club Committee met to discuss the further COVID-19 outbreaks within the suburbs that form the EDFL, the likely risks and affect to our players, their families and the volunteers.... Prior to the committee meeting, the ESFC Executive Committee met with the Coaches from all levels, including the Senior Coach, to also consider and weigh up the risks associated with continuing attempts to provide our Clubs players with teams for the 2020 season. Due to the recent increase of COVID-19 cases, our volunteers that make up the ESFC Committee and our coaches elected to withdraw all ESFC teams from the 2020 season. Earlier today, the EDFL were informed that our club would not be participating in the 2020 EDFL Football programs across all age groups. The Committee and Coaches decision to withdraw all teams has been considered over a number of weeks and commenced with the Questionnaire previously completed by our Clubs families. The results from the Questionnaire were an over-whelming, although not unexpected, passion for the game, the club and the desire for the children and senior players to return to local sport. The Committee was pleased to recommence training, although training very differently run to comply with the COVID-19 protocols. Every child, parent, senior player, coach, and volunteer should be enormously proud of the effort put into training with the added protocols. An amazing effort by all!! Unfortunately, with the further recent hotspots and increases in COVID-19 cases, the Committee and Coaches no longer feel that it is in the best interests of the players, their families, team volunteers, Coaches and Committee to continue. Our club appreciates the patience and support of our members and sponsors during these times. We look forward to a safe return of our Clubs community next season. Dwayne played every Senior game in 2019, his pace and hard in pressure in the front half, creating plenty of scoring chances. Powerful forward Kane Shaw impressed in 2019 with his straight ahead style, and his excellent preseason had him cherry ripe for this year before the cancellation.
