23.01.2022 Rugby Girls, are you keen to give emergency services a try?! https://www.girlsonfire.com.au/ are looking for strong, tough young women their girl’s firefighting... and resilience program, Virtually Possible. Girls On Fire (NFP organisation) will coordinate a multi-agency 1-day program to introduce teenage girls to the opportunities available to them as career or volunteer firefighters. The agencies providing this opportunity are Fire and Rescue, NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and Air Services Australia (Airport Fire Service). The program is a simple experiential learning program conducted in an 8-hour day to provide girls with a hands-on experience in a safe and interactive format, conducted by predominantly female firefighters from each of the agencies. The dates and locations for this year’s program are: YMCA Camp Yarramundi, Hawkesbury Tuesday & Wednesday, November 3rd & 4th Newcastle Friday, November 6th Wauchope Saturday, November 7th Dubbo Tuesday, November 10th Mogo Sunday& Monday, November 15th & 16th Please contact Bronnie Mackintosh (FRNSW) on 0417461417 or Patsy Marshall (NSWRFS) on 0409834270 for more information and to register, go to www.girlsonfire.com.au
