25.01.2022 Covid-19 is something we are taking very seriously. In line with the stage 1 restrictions we would like to advise that the club will be closed until further notice. The NWFA season has been suspended until at least May 31 in line with AFLs recommendations and we would like to reiterate that training has been cancelled and we hope players will be able to work on their fitness individually. At this stage the NWFA will hold a meeting late April/early May to discuss what the future holds. Special mention to our sponsors, we ask you to please keep in touch so we can continue to support each other through trying times. To our players, members, supporters, families and sponsors, think of the family members who may be impacted by your actions during this pandemic, please keep yourself and others safe! Best wishes to all, The EUFC committee.

24.01.2022 The East Ulverstone family has been devastated to hear that one of our own is going through the fight of their life. Although many of you may not recognise Georgia you would definitely recognise her partner Tommy.. Tommy has been one of the first picked week in week out holding down a position down back. The club wishes to pass on our best wishes to Georgia and Tommy at this time. Below is a way anyone can throw their support behind them. Keep posted as the club will be doing all it can over the coming months to help raise some funds for Georgia's Journey.

22.01.2022 Due to the COVID -19 health risk the NWFA will have a meeting this Monday night to discuss the immediate future of the NWFA roster. This also means Training has been cancelled until we get any further instruction from AFL TAS and the NWFA. Thanks to all the people that have put in an amazing effort this year already, the COVID-19 health risk is another challenge we will tackle and overcome as a club. We do encourage our players to maintain and improve on the fitness gained during pre season. 10.01.2022 CLUB MAINTENANCE -IMPROVEMENTS While we are all waiting for the dust to clear and find our way forward sport wise ,the committees of the Football and Cricket clubs think it is a great time prior to sport commencing to get more improvements done in the clubrooms/changerooms.Council has given us permission to have up to 10 people working at the club starting 18thMay doing various tasks as long as we are suitably spaced(as per the rules). Brads Painting has done a magnificent ...job so far with the painting, but there are still tasks to carry out ,some require trade competence, some dont.Listed below are some we have identified , We would also welcome other suggestions . 1)Painting -Walls in front room, corridors to both toilets, honour board walls 2)Lighting to be replaced,-Behind bar (ceiling),wall lights, light in coolroom, general lighting throughout club 3)Cleaning of coolroom ,inside and out(doors, framework outside),shelving etc inside 4)Cupboards in kitchen need crockery removing and then varnish seal inside(spray or brush )to stop dust. 5)Kitchen/storage - cleanout, spring clean etc 6)Dance floor sand and reseal 7)Move TV from back wall to another position up near the bar area(maybe near door out to balcony) And the list goes on 1)So far the Council have given a committment to remove the sink, glass washer and shelving and replace behind the bar. They are also looking into providing a new surface for the bar servery along with a slight redesign. 2)New blinds have been ordered to replace the old ones down the balcony wall. 3)Matt Williams will paint a large Crow Emblem on the back wall (where TV was) So to carry these things out we will be looking to have a few working bees at suitable times, starting with some painting of walls in the front viewing area (cricket club area). This will start next week TUESDAY 9.30 am (this time is only a suggestion) .We realise many are at work, but those who arent and looking to get out of the house if any one is available for a few hours it would be appreciated . Moving forward we will look to have these Working Bees possibly of a Saturday . Any queries pls contact Michael Stocks or Colin Wearne . See more

08.01.2022 Boys busy painting at the club today.Back into it tomorrow, room for a few more if your keen.

08.01.2022 This week (Kuns on spray gun,Colin,Myself,Muz,Talby)we have continued the painting of the brickwork, the front room walls where our m/ship board was, areas leading to the toilets for mens and womens, rest of bar area and drawers and cupboards in the kitchen. This means 90% of walls and ceilings in the club have been painted,it has lightened up the place unbelievably. We still have TV to move, new lights to be installed, and a few other things we have identified which we will end...eavour to get done on working bees . We are hoping to paint door frames and a few other areas Saturday morning ,if you are reasonably adept with a brush (getting paint in the right places, not on the floor ,feel free to come out) New blinds go up Friday. Matty Williams has measured up the back wall to paint the big Crow characature More ,Big news,Council has advised that they will replace sink, cupboards and remove glass washer behind bar and will replace with new as well as glass splash back, this will give an enormous lift to an ordinary area of the bar.As well they are going to provide new bar bench top and modification ,both jobs costing approx $10k. So by the time we are allowed to go out for a beer (if all goes well and we can control the virus)we will have a club rooms with a super makeover. Big thank you to Wearnie who is keeping the ball rolling. See more
