The number one thought process is that letting children out in cold temperatures or the wet can increase a child’s risk of getting a cold. 10.01.2022 We are often asked for our tips for picky eaters, so we thought we’d share our top 3! 1 As hard as it can be, respect your child's appetite or lack of. If your child isn't hungry, don't force a meal or snack as this might ignite or reinforce a power struggle over food. 2 Stick to a routine of serving meals and snacks at about the same times every day. If your child chooses not to eat a meal, a regular snack time will offer an opportunity to eat nutritious food.... 3 Finally, be patient with new foods. Young children often touch or smell new foods, and might even put tiny bits in their mouths and then take them back out again. Encourage your child by talking about a food's colour, shape, aroma and texture! Fine Motor Skills | Activity 1 and 2 1 | Sticker Fun Children LOVE stickers and they are readily available these days at places like Kmart. Draw some lines on a piece of paper and have your child follow the lines by placing stickers over the lines. 2 | Peg Games Children can use pegs to peg lots of things around the house from buckets to soft toys.
