24.01.2022 Children have been enjoying the delicious watermelons for their shared morning fruit. We have about 20 watermelons in the garden. The pumpkins are visible now that the foliage is dying off.

22.01.2022 The children have been building beautiful relationships amongst each other. Outside they have been sharing fruit platters for afternoon tea, practicing turn taking with the trikes and cooperating during imaginative play in the spacious sandpit area. Its been wonderful to see the children meeting new friends and exploring the new outdoor play space together.
22.01.2022 In the Kinder 4 Room, children have been following their interest in seeds by doing a 'Seed Project'. They have been exploring different types of seeds we sometimes find outside, seeds we find in our fruit and vegetables to the seeds we sometimes eat. This topic has included provocations exploring the senses of touch, smell and taste as we investigate seeds. This week we learnt how to plant seedlings into our garden and how to care for them.

20.01.2022 The Kinder Room has been involved in a healthy oral and dietary program through GEGAC. This included a dental visit, advice on correct tooth brushing and foods and drinks that should be included in a healthy lifestyle.

19.01.2022 Some exciting new developments for our newest play & learning space being transformed... Children observe how the bobcat fills the new veggie garden beds... It doesnt take long before the bike track is being laid out around these veggie beds!! No doubt there will be children cycling and weaving their imaginative play around our growing herbs and vegetables in no time.
19.01.2022 Our Kinder entered 3 art/craft items in the Bairnsdale & District Agricultural Society Annual Show. We are delighted to share that we won 1st prize for our egg carton chandelier, 2nd prize for our egg carton and bead flowers and 3 prize for our tie dyed doily mural.
19.01.2022 The Toddler children did a final touch on a community banner for NAIDOC week. This years theme represented womens strength, love, hope, happiness, respect, loyalty and the nurturing they provide to everyone in the community.
18.01.2022 Children have been exploring their senses by using natural resources in their play which have been kindly donated from parents.
18.01.2022 The veggie garden is looking amazing. Fruit trees have now been planted to replace the hedge. This is a lovely big space that will have melons, pumpkins, zucchinis and cucumbers planted soon.
17.01.2022 In the Babies Room, children have been engaging in the ritual of eating a meal together as educators provide warm guidance. Giving the babies choice and support helps them to become self aware and healthy in mind, body and spirit.
17.01.2022 It has been a very exciting start to 2020 as our Toddler room, Multi Purpose room and new staff room were completed. Children have thoroughly enjoyed being able to watch each stage of the build, especially when the diggers were around! Our Multi Purpose room is currently being utilised for our Music and Outdoor Education Program as well as a space to play and explore during the wet winter days.

16.01.2022 Our winter vegetables have been planted with the help of our Kinder children.
15.01.2022 Our Kinder children were very excited to harvest fruit and vegetables from our garden. They had an abundance of produce which they shared with all our families as well as utilise the zucchinis to make 'zoodles' for afternoon tea.
14.01.2022 Late last year a local artist facilitated a mosaic project of decorating our concrete planter pot. Our children were offered the opportunity to contribute to discovering beautiful art that is now a permanent part of our playground.

12.01.2022 The children enjoyed helping as our new water tank was rolled into the yard last Friday. Now we can collect, save and use rain water in our outdoor play experiences. 10.01.2022 Our younger friends from the babies room have also been settling in well... exploring throughout the garden, make new friends and playing alongside each other beautifully.
10.01.2022 ~Sensory play experiences~ It takes very little effort to encourage these children to explore with their hands. From messy play opportunities inside the Kinder Room with goop and making paper to getting outside in the garden, helping prepare the worm bin for our new wriggling soil creator creatures... These are calming and therapeutic ways to connect with your body and the natural environment.
10.01.2022 Kinder 4 have introduced two pet goldfish into their room. They are named Knuckles and Coco. Further extending on this, children have been learning how to care for living things in the natural environment.
09.01.2022 Our Lending Library is officially open for our Kinder 4 children to participate in. This initiative is part of School Readiness to develop childrens love of reading in the early years and encourage parents/families to take an active role in their childs learning journey. 09.01.2022 Remembrance Day - It was lovely to see the children sitting calmly and paying their respects as they listened to the last post with a minute silence along with our educators.
09.01.2022 The children were joyous as they discovered 2 big piles of sand in the play area earlier in the week. Trucks and spades were added to make a truly wonder play/work experience.
08.01.2022 It was a little bit exciting for us last week as we welcomed more plants into the outdoor play space. There was much to do when helping our newest friends settle into their garden home with transplanting, watering and learning how to be mindful, caring and nurturing as we play alongside them. We appreciate having more opportunities to practice our nurturing side as this encourages us to learn how to care for ourselves in better ways.
