23.01.2022 Little miss Frankie . . This beautiful little girl loves to follow her owner everywhere and can get stressed when she leaves, running from room to room to try and find her. It is important to slowly introduce excercises that will allow Frankie to chill on her own knowing her owner will always return. Crate training and tie up excercises for short periods will help Frankie build the independence she needs. .... . If you are getting a puppy / have a puppy and would like some great info on crate training and how to implement it so your puppy will enjoy going into the crate, let me know and I will send it your way See more

17.01.2022 So many puppies at this time of the year . . Lotti the Frenchie .... . It is vital to socialise your puppy in the imprint stage of 8-16 weeks. Not socialise with other pups/dogs but socialise with the environment to give them confidence. Most puppies have never left their mums and litter mates before you take them home. They may have never seen a bike, pram, bird, cat, bus, postman and the list goes on. Early socialisation (at the right level so they aren't scared) to everything they will be exposed to will make them for a much more confident dog . . 10.01.2022 Sleepy puppy after a game of fetch . . Lexi .... . I spent some time with Lexi’s owners talking about the best way to set their house up to prevent unwanted behaviours prior to Lexi coming home. Careful consideration also had to be taken as there are 2 cats already a part of this wonderful family. . . With everything I am learning I can see the benefits of keeping your puppy in a confined safe environment when he/she is young. . . A Puppy Pen and Crate restricts access to young puppies to help prevent some of the below unwanted behaviours: Barking Toileting in the house Separation anxiety Chasing Cats Chasing Birds Chewing items they shouldn’t be . . It also allows them sufficient rest time rather then them following you every where you go. . . Did you know puppies need 18-20 hours sleep a day? A lot of puppies don’t get this due to not being confined. . . Prior to getting a puppy or if you already have your puppy contact me for FREE tips on how to set your puppy up right from the start See more

10.01.2022 Dozer the Dude . . This guy is so gorgeous! I did a puppy consultation with Dozer’s owner to talk about management around the home and how to prevent him becoming too rough with his 3 human siblings. .... . We also started some basic obedience training. The best way to train any new behaviours are: Choose a low distraction area Sessions must be short and fun Be very clear about you are trying to teach your dog and make it as easy as possible for him/her to succeed Offer the right reward for your dog. Food, ball, tug toy etc Love your dog See more
