04.01.2022 Online reviews: How much difference does one star make? A study by Harvard back in 2011 discovered that Yelp's reviews created a significant effect on small businesses. The study identified that a business could boost their revenue by almost 9% if their rating improved by just one star.... That was 5 years ago - if I was a betting man, I'd bet that 9% has increased somewhat since then.
