24.01.2022 It is difficult to fully understand this country without a visit to the central desert, around Alice Springs. The space, light and colour...such an enormous landscape. The timeless relationship between the land, its people, the incredible plants, birds and insects make it so unique and so special. (no fly emoji? apple haven't visited) Aussie Yen's quest to conquer Kata Tjuka, Uluru and Watarrka, coupled with some anxious 4x4 driving, may have put her back out of shape bu...t we found one of the most beautiful camps in the MacDonnell Ranges (Tjoritja) to escape humans for 3 whole days.... Armed with medicinal whiskey and the central Australian ethnobotanical bible of Peter Latz, and a healthy amount of food and beverage... we managed to cope Hope you don't mind me sharing some familiar images although I doubt many have seen this much water and greenery.
