24.01.2022 Hi Folks - as time goes by so some good things must come to an end. Our evening service on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays has run its course and will not be continuing. A very big Thank You to all those that supported us during this time, we value your patronage. Of course our regular fantastic daytime service continues from Monday through Saturday from 07h00 till 14h00 where you can still get "Duncraig's Best Coffee" and all the delicious food that has made our little Cafe' a Duncraig favourite. Thank You and we look forward to welcoming you soon.

21.01.2022 Hi All - We are going to open up for sit down Dinner Service at EAT Cafe from this Thursday (17h00 to 19h30). We are only taking pre bookings so as to manage total numbers inside the cafe. We will do this each Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. Please book via phone on 9448 1247.

19.01.2022 Hi there, There has been a slight changing of the guard at EAT Cafe. The grumpy old boy from the front counter has been replaced by his pretty wife to enhance the look of the Cafe. The grumpy old boy is still the co owner and ultimate manager of the Cafe but will now be spending more time away from the everyday duties of the Cafe. All else remains the same, with the same quality staff and service and products that have been a staple of Duncraig over the last six years. 18.01.2022 Hi Duncraig - EAT Cafe will now be open on weekday evenings as well from 5pm to 8pm for Take Away service. Regular daytime opening is still Mon to Sat from 7am to 2pm. 11.01.2022 Hi Duncraig, we will be doing our free meal giveaway again this evening (Thurs 23Apr) as Tom Yum Soup and Rice. Our dear friend Gita McC has also kindly donated a batch of her famous cookies as well. Please let anyone you know who is doing it tough at the moment that these meals are a gift from us to them, which has kindly been sponsored by the generous assistance of the Duncraig community who have given donations to assist with the ingredients for these meals.

10.01.2022 Hi All - our most sincere apologies to all those that tried to get take away meals this Thursday evening. Unfortunately the "Masters of Darkness" aka Western Power had a service interruption this afternoon and we were unable to prepare enough food to keep us going for the whole session, to those who did make it - thank you for your continued support. All will be restored and back to normal for Friday and Saturday evening. Peter & Aui

10.01.2022 Hi there, we will be opening for Dine In Customers on Monday 18th May. This is in line with the stage 2 easing of restrictions as enabled by the state government. It will not be plain sailing however as there are still many restrictions in place to help ensure public safety from the nasty CV19. All Dine In Customers will be required to sign in on the provided register at the entrance to the cafe, we are only allowed to have 17 people in total at sit down tables - 11 inside an...d 6 outside. At all times the 1,5m social distancing rule must be applied. Single use menus will be available at the counter and must be disposed of after use. We are all still new to these regulations and we will play it by ear to determine how we can make it as pleasant environment as possible for our customers. No bookings will be taken for this period as we cannot guarantee the availability of tables at any one time. The good news is that we will still continue our very popular take away service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 17h00 to 19h30. 07.01.2022 Good day to you all As of noon on Monday 23 March we are being forced to become a take away service only - This has just been announced by Scott Morrison in conjunction with all the states. We will be creating a new menu and opening hours to cater for this momentous change. From Thursday 26 March we will be opening in the evenings from 17h00 till 20h00 to serve take away meals and all the regular take away Panini's, Quiche, Wraps etc. Of course Duncraigs Best Coffee will also... be available during those times. We are devastated by this turn of events but fully support the authorities that are trying to make us all safe ! Please support these changes and place your orders either by calling the cafe landline 9448 1247 or by using the SKIP app on your mobile. The Uber and Menulog options will be updated in due course. Lets beat this damn virus !!!!

05.01.2022 Hi There, a big sorry to all those that have been trying to contact us via the landline or on UberEats/Deliveroo. We were meant to be transitioning to the NBN, but iiNet have failed us miserably by not getting their act together - we have paid for this transfer and a month in advance of the subscription but are still out of contact for over a week now. iiNet do not respond and pass you around to all and sundry and even try and put the blame on us. the NBN company has been contacted and they tell us that the fault is with iiNet. iiNet booked a technician with us for Friday afternoon - did not show up !!! We used to be a fan of iiNet but no longer !!!!!

04.01.2022 Easter is approaching fast, and we are looking forward to it - we will be going away for a few days and will be closing from Good Friday to Anzac Day (inclusive) to open again on the Friday 26th April. We trust that you will all have a good break as well and we will see you after Anzac Day !! (by the way iiNet still has not got us connected so FB is our only means of communication)

01.01.2022 Hi Duncraig, from those of us at EAT Cafe, we are still very fortunate to be able to keep running due to the fantastic local support, and as a measure of goodwill we will be giving away free meals to those people that have lost their jobs during this crisis, and for those that are putting themselves behind the needs of the rest of us to protect and keep us safe.
