18.01.2022 If you're looking to host an intimate dinner, then consider some of Adelaide's smaller venues that realistically can't yet fling open their doors.

16.01.2022 Char-Griller has released its rubs in Australia - All Purpose, Brisket & Beef and Ribs & Pork. They're American rubs (the home of low & slow, after all) and worth a try if you want to bring a touch of American BBQ to your summer.

14.01.2022 Overly excited to have had breakfast out this morning. Well, second breakfast ... scrambled eggs on toast at Strappers Cafe in Morphettville. At just $10, it's a bargain. Also, the coffee was pretty good too.

13.01.2022 Apparently today is World Bread Day. In our household, pretty much every day is Bread Day!

10.01.2022 If you love red wine, there's still time to grab a BYO ticket to a virtual masterclass this evening (7pm Adelaide) ... join guests from the Adelaide Hills & the Loire Valley in France! https://wineacademy.com.au//virtual-wine-masterclass-cabe/

09.01.2022 It's World Burger Day (yes, seriously) and Deliveroo has partnered with restaurants to offer discounts on your burgers. In Adelaide, participating restaurants include Nordburger, Bread & Bone, Benny's, Burgertec, Buffalo Wing Co, Burger Foundry & Cheeky Chook. Individual restaurants are offering different discounts, at their discretion and you do have to order via the Deliveroo app. Given the current state of hospo, I kind of feel like we should pay full tote odds if we can afford it. However, I also know that not everyone's in that position so this offer might be welcome to some!

08.01.2022 Windy Point is doing takeaway and it's amazing. We had it last weekend - cost us about the same as takeaway from a local cafe (think pasta & schnitzel) and we got to enjoy coq au vin, pork tagine, risotto & even desserts (the chocolate mousse is AMAZING). The menu has changed this week although the choccy mousse is still there!

03.01.2022 Love a good pie? Here's some that might be the best in Australia (shout out to Apex Bakery in Tanunda & Port Elliot Bakery in Port Elliot for getting a mention!) https://www.news.com.au///d907b96f352ba1ff9cd944ec614ed5e1

03.01.2022 You might have already seen Tilda on the shelves at your supermarket with its microwavable rice range but from June you'll also be able to buy Tilda 'dry' rice (that's rice you cook yourself, if you were wondering ... which I was!). Available in Basmati or Jasmine and 1 or 5kg bags it's worth checking out. (I actually used to buy this rice when I lived in the UK).
