Thank you for supporting EatLah, we appreciate it very much. 2020 - a year of surprises While I haven’t been a fan of most of what’s unfolded so far there have been a few things I’m really grateful for. ... After several months of riding the lows of our cafe businesses suffering, destination wedding being postponed, isolation from friends and family. today’s blessings has fueled me to keep going and given me hope that I’m on a journey that keeps on giving and I must start appreciating what I have and make the most of it. So, I’m hoping to turn a new leaf and be more positive and hopeful. Thanks to the gorgeous Penny from @droolwithpenny, I was given the opportunity to share my story surrounding the Covid-19 challenges, how we’ve pivoted our food business into home delivery via @eatlah.au and also showcase my Malaysian Heritage Live on Instagram. It’s been my dream to have my own cooking show and while this isn’t my own show it’s brought me one step closer. This post won’t be complete if I didn’t acknowledge a few key people: firstly my late grandmother who was an amazing cook, my late mother who was an amazing foodie, my bestie @michypereira for always pushing me to do better, my husband @dominicgeorge2812 who has been so excited for me like a kid on Christmas morning, my brother @nav_77_ for encouraging me to do the video with Penny, my cooking mentor @gladyspereira1712 who never stops inspiring me, my sisters @sheetalkhorana and @iamsimms for always making sure I’m on point and last but not least my friends, my brother in law Sukhdave for being my cheerleader and my friends and family who always give me reason to celebrate life and aim high.
