23.01.2022 Videos are fun. Mum is brilliant in them, just not my strong point. This one with a big gun from MasterChef India - thanks Alfalfa House Community Food Co-Op for hosting us.

19.01.2022 Hello-g'day-bonjour-kia ora We've missed you. Wow, what a few months. Birthdays, weddings, forecasts, holidays, even trips to the beach all so abruptly put on hold by this peculiar pause. We hope you're all keeping safe.... Mum and I took some time out late last year to pause, synthesise and craft a wee plan for the next phase. As we all tread the unknown, mum suggested we start by sharing where we've come from. This should give us strength for where we might be headed. Thanks ma. Our early days - thanks to an insatiable familial curiosity, we found ourselves engaging in weekly yarns with farmers about unsold and excess produce, and confirmed what we suspected: a lot of it was being thrown away. From here on in, we decided to promote self-esteem amongst wonky yet gorgeous produce. Fancy numbers - in the beginning, Eat Me was just an idea. Then it somehow became this businessy thing, probably because we had lots of spreadsheets, a tax file number and a quarterly date with the ATO. Then came the crowdfunding campaign supported by ING. And to 31 March 2020, we’d rescued 5428.15 kgs of organic, bio-dynamic and chemical free produce; converted this into thousands of jars of chutney, that we’ve then sold. So, we’re guessing there’s people who actually like them. Teams win - farmers & suppliers, partners, mentors, customers, market organisers, friends; they all make up our fantastic team. Let's not wait for Christmas to celebrate these joyful relations. More in the next few posts. Much love - Betty, Dad, Mum and me (Ankit).
