24.01.2022 Hi Auskickers What a great turnout we have had over the past 2 weeks. Thanks to all the parents who have helped run each activity, we can't run it without your assistance. Big shout out to the juniors from Eaton Junior Football Club for providing the umpires for our games too. Please note if you were unable to attend yesterday's session, next weeks session has been moved to Sunday 9th August at 10.00am to coincide with our junior games (and you can have a lay in too).... See you all on Sunday Jezza

20.01.2022 Hi Auskickers We still have no further updates from AFL Auskick as to when we may start Auskick this year but hope to have some direction in the next few weeks. Please keep an eye out for further updates soon.

20.01.2022 Hi everyone.. just a reminder there is no auskick this weekend... we are back on the 24th for the kids vs parents games and sausage sizzle windup. Thanks

18.01.2022 Hi Everyone. Following a series of meetings over the last number of days involving the AFL and all State and Territory CEOs, recommendations have been made in relation to Community football including Auskick. Consistent with the decision yesterday in relation to State League football and the national and state talent programs, all AFL and AFL State association managed or operated leagues along with the NAB AFL Auskick Centres programs currently operating or set to begin, will... be postponed until 31st May 2020. Fingers crossed we will still be able to participate in an Auskick program later in the year albeit we may have a reduced season. Please stay tuned for further updates as they come to hand. Those that have registered and paid, you should still receive your Auskick packs which are sent out by the AFL directly. For those who have registered with kidsport vouchers, can you please provide the voucher codes, amounts and expiry dates, these can be emailed to [email protected] Regards Jezza See more

14.01.2022 Hi Auskickers Just a reminder that this weeks Auskick session will be on Sunday at 10.00am (not the usual Saturday), weather permitting of course as it looks like we may be in for a real drenching. Cheers Jezza

13.01.2022 Hi Auskickers... This Saturday will be our windup for Auskick and we will finish with the traditional kids vs parents game followed by a sausage sizzle for the kids. Parents please bring your runners and would be great to see you wearing your favourite footy team colours. Start time will be the normal 8.30am. On Sunday 25/08, our year 2's will be playing a couple of scratch matches in Donnybrook at the VC Mitchell Park (and hopefully another couple of teams). Please be there ...at 9am for a 9.30 start. Donnybrook will put on a sausage sizzle lunch and should be finished by 12pm. Jumpers will he supplied so just their normal Auskick gear is fine. At this stage we have 23 players which is probably enough numbers for the day. Scott Mcdougall will be your coach for the day so if you need to contact him his number is 0417096952. See you all on Saturday. Jezza See more

13.01.2022 Hi everyone. Hope you are all healthy! We are not due to commence our Auskick until early May however I just wanted to send out an update regarding what is going on with current Covid-19 situation and its impact on football.... We are awaiting further information from the AFL in regards to this ever evolving situation. The AFL are set to hold a press conference this afternoon to outline the plan in the immediate term for community football, as well as NAB AFL Auskick. As we are governed by the AFL, the WAFC will adopt these measures effective immediately. I under the anxiousness surrounding this issue, but I would encourage you to hold tight for the interim and I will filter out information to you once we receive it. Regards Jezza

09.01.2022 Hi Auskickers. Just a reminder, this coming Sunday 20th Sept will be our final Auskick session for the year (there is no Auskick on Saturday) and windup and will end with a kids vs parents game of footy followed by a sausage sizzle which will also coincide with some of the juniors windup. We will commence at the normal 8.30am to 9.30 time slot. See you all then Jezza

09.01.2022 #### BREAKING NEWS ### AUSKICK IS BACK Hi Auskickers.....We will be running a 10 week season commencing Saturday 25th July to Saturday 26th September, 8.30am to 9.30am in Eaton at Pratt Road. Registrations are now open at www.play.afl/auskick.com.au ... Please be aware there will be some changes to how we run the program this year and who can attend. Due to Covid-19 restrictions on how we are allowed to operate, we can only have a maximum of 100 people (this includes players and parents) per oval and up 300 people maximum per venue. All coordinators, volunteers, participants and PARENTS must adhere to these strict protocols at every session. So for this year, we are having to limit 1 parent per registered Auskicker per session, meaning that unfortunately we can not have the other parent, non-registered siblings, grand parents, uncles, aunties or cousins attending to watch their young footy stars. With the juniors playing immediately after our session, you will need to quickly vacate the oval to ensure we remain compliant with the restrictions. The key principle here is to "GET IN, PLAY AND GET OUT". We will make sure strict hygiene protocols are in place which includes disinfecting all equipment after each session. Social distancing rules will remain in place so all coordinators, volunteers, players and parents need to understand the need to observe physical distancing requirements of 1.5m where appropriate. With all of this, we are going to ask parents to make sure you advise your Auskickers of the rules (this is going to be a challenge I know), but more importantly PARENTS, you must also understand and adhere to the rules too. Any non-compliance with the restrictions may see our sessions cancelled for the remaining season. Now for the easy bit, I am chasing 1 volunteer / parent for the Year 2 group who can come down early and help set up / run the morning session each week (with assistance from other parent helpers during the session). We commence setting up at 7am so if you feel you can dedicate this time, please let me know, it would be great to have you on board. The sessions are easy to set up (as you would have seen from last years activities). Of course parents, you will also be required to help run these sessions throughout the day too so make sure you bring your joggers. What better way is there to have fun at footy with your child. Stay tuned for further updates as restrictions may be further relaxed as we approach the start date. Time to dust off the boots and get registering. Cheers Jezza

08.01.2022 Good morning everyone. We have been asked by Auskick Donnybrook to see if we can play a scratch match against their year 2 team (and other teams if they come along) on Sunday 25th August from about 9am onwards. This will help prepare our year 2 kids for what to expect when they transition into the year 3 competition next year (which includes wrap tackles). If you are keen to play, please comment your childs name below or write their name down on the team list at this mornin...gs session. Our remaining Auskick Sessions for 2019 are as follows Sat 3rd August Sat 10th August Sat 24th August will be our windup Please note there is no Auskick on Sat 17th August. Thanks, Jezza See more

07.01.2022 Hi Auskickers With today's announcements regarding further relaxing of Covid 19 restrictions, we will be removing the one child one parent limit so parents and siblings will be able to attend our Saturday morning sessions. This is of course if restrictions remain at phase 4 or 5 of the Covid recovery. We are still chasing one or two parents with their child in the year 2 group whom can run the sessions and help set up each Saturday morning so if you can help out for the 10 weeks please let me know ASAP. Cheers Jezza

05.01.2022 Hi Auskickers.. for those who are interested in the kids playing the half time game at the SWFL grand final next weekend, this is for you

05.01.2022 Hi everyone.. As I had mentioned over the past 2 weeks before Auskick started, there is a year 1 and year 2 carnival being held at Leschenault on Saturday 6th July from 9.30 to 2pm. Teams of 12 are required. I need to submit teams this week so I need to finalise numbers. At this stage I have 6 year one's and 11 year 2's down to play so not quite enough to register a team on each grade. If your child can play, please post their name and year group in the comments by Thursday at the latest. Please note a parent will need to coach their respective year group and provide a goal umpire. We will have auskick jumpers for the kids and goal flags available on the day. Unfortunately I won't be here to coordinate so parent help is required. Any queries please let me know. Cheers Jezza

02.01.2022 Well that's a wrap..I hear the kids all played well and beat the adults in this morning's games. Well done to all the Auskickers who played this year at Eaton Auskick. Thanks to Scott, Allyce, Mark and Gavin for your help and getting down early to set up each week. Thanks to the parents and grandparents who have assisted with the footy activities. Thanks to the junior umpires from EJFC who have umpired the mini matches and thanks to the canteen ladies, Julie and Lisa for the ...hot food, coffee and lollybags. Good luck next year all the year 2's in the junior competition. See you all again next year.. Jezza See more
