25.01.2022 Can you believe it's that time already? 2020 has been challenging in lots of ways, but the good news is the Lions Christmas cake is here to stay. Perfected over... the years, the traditional Lions Australia Christmas cake recipe is packed with high quality ingredients and 50% fruit but there’s one magic ingredient in this cake that sets it apart from the rest. The Lions Christmas Cake makes a difference. With all proceeds going back to Lions Clubs and initiatives across the country, the cakes help fund a range of vital projects in the community. We are also pleased to confirm we have found a new supplier following the closure of Top Taste bakery which has been producing the cakes for the past 35 years. Top Taste has produced their final bake of Lions Cakes for the 2020 season and from next year the Christmas cakes will be produced by Victorian-based Traditional Foods. We look forward to working with Traditional Foods to carry forth the great quality and taste that you've all come to love. 23.01.2022 During our last meeting prior to the Covid 19 shutdown, we had the pleasure of inducting Lion Mick to our Club. On our first meeting back to normal attendance, we welcome Lion Michael to the Eaton Lions Club. Michael is transferring from NZ and brings a wealth of Lions knowledge and experience to our Club. 21.01.2022 Lions is truly International. Join us and you too can help others.

20.01.2022 Our Club, like so many, have suspended meetings until further notice. However, this doesn’t stop us being Lions . Where possible, and using good practices, random acts of kindness are a great way to spread cheer. We had a freezer full of the usual, sausages, onions, bacon etc, which has now all been donated to a well deserving Bunbury Support Organization. Also, individuals can participate in these acts. When shopping, don’t forget the staff who are still working and have... had some bad experiences during the panic buying saga. I bought an Easter bunny and after paying for it among the rest of my groceries, I gave it to the checkout lady. She was almost in tears. Simple gesture, but heartwarming. This is one example of things we can still do as lions. If any one has friends who are on lockdown, look out for them, phone them and offer support. The list is endless if we think like Lions. Stay safe everyone. We still have work to do. See more

11.01.2022 Once again we have come into possession of wheel chairs and walkers. These are all in good nick and are free to anyone who is is in need of mobility assistance. There is quite a range, so please contact the club for a viewing. These are all free of charge to people who need them. Another Lions initiative.

10.01.2022 In between all this community service, one of the ‘mane’ things our lions members still find time for is personal grooming.

09.01.2022 Another fantastic crabbing weekend held by the Eaton Lions. Laughter, fellowship, crabs, and the odd bottle of red were enjoyed by all.

08.01.2022 Recently we were once again involved with the Eaton Foreshore Festival. Extra parking areas saw us spread reasonably thin across some areas, but again, what a great day. We are appreciative to the Committee for including us in this event. Gold coin donations came in at the great figure of $1326.90. We are proud to able to assist our community.

08.01.2022 Welcome Mick to the Lions Family. One of the last actions taken by our Club before the meetings were postponed.

06.01.2022 Blown away by the community spirit shown by the Eaton Lions Club! My 86 year old mother who has been in constant pain in recent months has been given a new lea...se of life with the loan of a gopher. She and my 90 year old father have been zipping around on it to access both social and essential services in their village and channelling Jack Brabham! Thanks so much to Gary and the committee for the life-changing work you do. See more
