25.01.2022 Ways with left over roast beef and roast vegetables. Yum!

24.01.2022 Sustainability project :Backyard Chooks. School holidays project with my kids. Bought chickens from a free range eggs farm business. They were being sold because they were 'old' at 2 years because their shells were getting thin. Part of their recovery is helping them get healthy enough to produce eggs with firm shells again. Gorgeous Isa Brown girls!

24.01.2022 No blending, no dates, no nuts. Little time. Little mess. Few ingredients and so delicious! I love them, the little people love them, even the man loves them. I hope you enjoy them too!

23.01.2022 RECIPE: Natural Antibacterial Hand Gel and Moisturiser. Alcohol free. (not recommended during pregnancy or for people with high blood pressure.) 1/2 C Aloe Vera Gel 40 drops Tea Tree essential oil... 20 drops Thyme essential oil 20 drops Rosemary essential oil 20 drops Orange essential oil 10 drops Eucalyptus essential oil 5 drops Lemon essential oil 5 ml Apple Cider Vinegar 2.5 ml natural vitamin E oil or 2 capsules 10 drops Solubaliser if needed Mix together well and pop mixture in a squeezy bottle (can buy from the Reject Shop) Use for sterilising hands. The advantage of this product is that the essential oils absorb into the skin and provide an extra barrier to germs and it doesnt wash off the first time you wash your hands, like the alcohol type hand gel does. Not recommended during pregnancy.

11.01.2022 Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) is also known as Holy Basil. Tulsis main claim to fame in the western world is as an adaptogen. In Ayurveda, they refer to it as a rasa...yana. This term is similar to the Chinese term tonics. It basically means that this is a transformative herb and, when taken daily, it moves a person towards health. These are generally building and nourishing herbs. Holy basil not only helps the body adapt to stress, it can also promote energy and endurance. One way it does this is by increasing the bodys ability to efficiently use oxygen. Holy basil is a relaxing nervine that can help calm the mind and recover from our hustle and bustle culture.

02.01.2022 Cayenne is famous for reducing many types of pain. It works by affecting your nervous system. Substance P is a neurotransmitter that relays information and resu...lts in what we call pain. Capsaicin, a major constituent of cayenne peppers, blocks substance P and therefore reduces pain. When cayenne is used topically, it can relieve many different types of pain, including pain from: diabetic neuropathy, shingles, migraine headaches, back aches, arthritis, menstrual cramps and bruises.
