01.01.2022 If you ever happen to get upset or overwhelmed (I mean who doesn’t right?) ...step 1. Stop what you’re doing. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. I mean really slow and deep. Step 2. Allow yourself to observe how you feel. How your body is participating in the overwhelm. (It might be things like, heart beating fast, hot and clammy, churning in the belly, ...allow these sensations to arise. Noting them not going into analysing. Step 3. Feel into a place of ease, safet...y, content. This can’t always be found if haven’t practiced thus beforehand. Or simply stay with your deep breaths. If you keep going into thinking, come back to observing, and breathing deeply. This is meditation in practice. Somatic sending is helpful. Your brain can’t think and feel at the same time. So you might just notice that your body calms a bit. With practice you can find your inner resource of ease. Come along to our Sunday night meditation class.
