23.01.2022 We're so excited that National Parks are now open! Over the weekend, our Ebenezer Year team participated in the first of their mid-year retreats. Retreats and the wilderness are both important aspects of the Ebenezer Year. We use the beauty of the Tasmanian wilderness to explore Gods creation, but to also free our attention from the busyness of life to realign our focus to a Godly perspective. All the way through the bible, God uses wilderness experiences to form and shape ...people. Throughout Jesus’ ministry we also see him continually return to the wilderness and solitary places to pray and reflect. The wilderness is a place where the comforts and busyness of civilization disappear, and life becomes simpler. Our attention is freed from the stress and priorities from ‘normal’ life, and we can realign our focus on the things that are truly important. It changes our perspective from the things right in front of our eyes, to a Godly perspective. Want to know more about wilderness experiences in the Ebenezer Year! Send us a DM or visit our website!
