23.01.2022 Well it was a very different but very unique ANZAC DAY for 2020. Fortunately we were still able to lay a wreath this morning . This year member Stuart Eadie represented the club and laid the wreath on behalf of his father Errol Eadie. Errol served in Malaya, Borneo and Vietnam. In total, 779 days active service for his country. Stuart and his family are great supporters of the Fishing Club, so it was very fitting he laid the wreath for our club. We have a wonderful community in Empire Bay and fantastic members in our Fishing Club. Lets hope we will all be able to get back together soon and enjoy a weekend competition and weigh-in. To all our members and their families, please take care.

22.01.2022 Good afternoon all, as you can see the Fishing Club has had to lock our little weigh Gnome up since the last competition, he's been complaining about how much work he has been doing on the weigh-in weekends and was threatening to run away!! All good though at 3pm tomorrow afternoon we will unlock him and see if he can have a crack at another weigh-in. Hopefully the weather gods will be on our side tomorrow, we have live music, the big screen TV for the footy(weather permitting) and the BBQ for all members, see you all at the Empire Bay Tavern, 3pm tomorrow

18.01.2022 WEIGH-IN UPDATE. At the moment the Tavern is closed because of a blackout. Anyone who has fish to weigh in please call Darby (0417247567) and he will arrange to have your fish weighed. Anyone wishing to go to the Tavern this afternoon keep an eye on The Tavern Facebook page to see if it will be opening.

15.01.2022 Despite the horrendous conditions this weekend there were some great fish weighed in. Congratulations and well done to those who weighed fish in. A big Thankyou to Duncan at Empire's D'Lite for allowing us to conduct our weigh-in at his shop. A special thanks to our weigh Gnome and his "little helper" Matty Rutter, without your involvement the weigh in would not have been possible. And a big Thankyou to the members who fished this weekend and were present at the weigh in, we have a great club and the reason for that is because we have fantastic members. Cant wait for our next fishing comp, stay safe see you all then.

14.01.2022 Good morning all and what a beautiful morning it is in the Bay!! Not good unfortunately on the weather front , but good news, the weigh-in is still on, 3pm at the Tavern. If the rain continues weigh-in will be conducted under the verandah of the Tavern. Raffle will still be on so hang around after the weigh-in there's plenty of room inside. Hopefully see you all this afternoon.

14.01.2022 What a fantastic day yesterday's weigh-in was. Thanks to all members who attended, A great afternoon was had by all, plenty of sunshine, music, laughs and a great atmosphere. Some good catches by those who braved the conditions on Saturday and Sunday morning. The club would like to thank everyone for a great afternoon. A big Thankyou once again for those who helped out with the BBQ and raffles, without your help these afternoons would not be possible. We have a great club and its getting bigger and better with more families joining up at the first two weigh-ins for the year. Can't wait for the next weigh-in on Sunday 14th of March. 13.01.2022 WEIGH-IN UPDATE. Today's weigh-in will be held at Empire's D'Lite at 3pm. Please be there at 3pm. Empire's D'Lite is at 1/1 Sorrento rd Empire Bay.

07.01.2022 Another cracker of a day at the EBT.

07.01.2022 Well members its fishing comp time again, with tomorrow 3pm as the start time. How blessed are we to have this magnificent waterway at our doorstep. Last weigh-in was a ripper with some great catches from around the local area. Hopefully everyone gets a chance to get out on the water or even have a cast off one of the local wharfs this weekend. Don't forget to have your catch at the Tavern by 3pm Sunday for the weigh-in. There's live music plus the BBQ and a beer for all members. Good luck all, see you on Sunday.

07.01.2022 Due to COVID-19 and the current situation regarding social distancing, the Fishing Club competitions have been cancelled until further notice. This decision has been made in the best interest of our members and their families safety. Hopefully we will all be back at a weigh in as soon as things settle down. Take care see you all soon

05.01.2022 Afternoon all members, some good news for tomorrows weigh-in. The courtesy bus will be available from 2.15pm for members coming to the weigh-in. Just call 0405 578 788. Looks like the sun will be back tomorrow so come on up and enjoy the afternoon with live music and the BBQ for all members. Bus will be available all afternoon and evening. See you all tomorrow at 3pm at The Tavern.

03.01.2022 Morning all members, today's weigh in is definitely on. Even if you didn't get a chance to fish come along and enjoy the BBQ and a beer. The live music will still be on and our club raffle which is the clubs lifeline, so come along and support this great club. Call Darby (0417247567) if you need the courtesy bus. See you all this arvo at The Tavern 3pm. P.S. Word on the river is that one member has braved the conditions and got a bag full of fish.
