20.01.2022 Our hardworking team, spread across Australia, has had to adapt to a new way of working (like many others) during this unprecedented COVID-19 crisis. Earlier this month we launched an internal competition, EBMs, Fancy Desk Competition! We wanted to see which EBM team member had the work set-up to end all WFH set-ups. It wasnt easy to crown a champion - a number of contestants went all out in their quest to be the best! Some chose to use good humour, while others tugged on... the heartstrings of the judges in order to sway their vote. The use of animals in submissions was an obvious theme throughout (who doesnt love pets?). Congratulations to our top three winners! #1... Serenity & Comfort #2... The Barnyard Experience #3... Health & Wellbeing **Please note: these creative desk submissions are not actual workstations, EBM supports proper ergonomic workstations in accordance with Australian Standards.

04.01.2022 Since 1972 Nickol Bay Speedway has kept Pilbara locals entertained with a host of motorsport activities. This locally run not-for-profit business is a family favourite in the region. Earlier this year though, the Speedway suffered extensive damage due to the impact of Tropical Cyclone Damien crossing the North West coast in February 2020. EBMs Karratha Account Manager, Cameron Gaspar worked alongside Speedway committee members to help manage their insurance claim process wh...ich included liaising with Chubb, the insurer, to explain the uniqueness of the situation. Assessing the claim for damages was complex as most of the infrastructure at the Speedway has been donated by the community over the years. This made it very difficult to evaluate the true replacement costs. Thanks to the teamwork and community spirit shown by the Speedway Committee, EBM and Chubb who worked together to find a solution for Nickol Bay Speedway. Construction and repairs are now underway to restore the Speedway, with the re-opening pencilled in for the 31st December 2020.
