21.01.2022 Trying to define the Sri Lankan aesthetic I made this Water lily begging bowl which is influenced by what I have seen whilst roaming around ancient ruins in Sri Lanka. Most of the ancient art I saw was deferential to nature and used a lot of geometry techniques in their production. The water lily is a common motif and I wanted to do my own thing with it based on the geometry of the water lily. Hope you like it!
16.01.2022 This jig helps hold the hoop in place whilst I mould it with the router.
09.01.2022 People wonder what the endcaps are used for so I mocked up this towel rail concept that I'm working on which shows the endcaps in use. Thinking that its a bit too chunky for a towel rail but it will be very strong compared with others. Also making a small cushion mirror to go with it.
