18.01.2022 Wow, what a ride 2020 was! I can’t say it was a terrible year for me personally as I had a lot of triumphs but, I know it was terrible for a lot of people. Here’s to 2021 - already its looking good for the Laithwaite tribe. New house by the beach , a new puppy , a thriving business and the last full year of law school and its only day one ... For all of you, may it be awesome and filled with love , joy, happiness , lightand a little less of the ‘C’ word!

06.01.2022 Yes, it is THAT day of the week, again. Not that I am complaining as I enjoy all the days, I was just contemplating time and how fast it really goes by. I think back to a decade ago, a year ago, a month ago, a week ago, yesterday, and it does not feel like feel 315,360,000 seconds have passed by in what felt like 1.... So, yeah, happy hump day :)

06.01.2022 We can never stop learning. For me, learning is so much more than being ‘taught’. It allows me to see things from a different perspective and continue to practice objectivity in most of my daily affairs. Today I spent the morning with a bunch of like minded people who wished to be more culturally aware. Not only were our horizons broadened, we were also afforded an experience which delved into the historical and cultural differences of Aboriginal Australia; wow, what an e...ye opener. Both heartbreaking and breathtaking. A huge thanks to De-anne Douglas and the team at Blackrock industries for providing the opportunity and a shout out to Darlene Flockhart from Singleton Business Chamber for letting me know about this program.

02.01.2022 A question I am asked by almost every purchaser is when to pay the #deposit The deposit can be paid at any time after negotiations for the purchase are complete BUT before you exchange contracts. Usually the deposit is paid to the #realestateagent as stake holder. By doing this you not only keep momentum and show the vendor that you are serious, you are ticking a box off on the pre purchase #checklist. If #contracts are not entered into therefore, no exchange has occu...rred, the purchaser will not lose ANY part the deposit if they decide to withdraw their offer. It is only after a purchaser has exchanged, then makes the decision to withdraw from the purchase (with a cooling off period), do they run a risk of losing 0.25% of the purchase price. In today's current market I am finding more and more purchasers are missing out on being the #first to exchange due to their banker or broker advising them not to pay a deposit until finance is unconditionally approved.
