Despite some wives tales these ants do not actually consume timber, only excavate it for nest expansion. They are mostly active at night seldom seen in the day. In this video you can see the tiny Eggs, larger Larvae, smaller Workers, larger Soldiers and even the Queen! She has a larger abdomen thanks to those eggs! ... Cheers, Jason. 0432 425 886.

24.01.2022 Do the hinges in your home look like these hinges? German Cockroaches up to their usual tricks. This home highly infested right through. Cannot stress the importance of getting on top of this pest as soon as you spot the first one. Much easier and cheaper to remove this way. A breeding cycle of 6 weeks and up to 50 eggs per breeding female means this pest quickly takes over. Very difficult to almost impossible to treat with DIY store bought products. ... Be very wary of buying anything secondhand from Marketplace, Gumtree etc. Especially White Goods as this is usually how they enter the home to begin with. 23.01.2022 A new one today! Client was heading out to mow the crazy lawn and was stung 3 times by Paperwasps. He had an allergic reaction so a quick response was needed. There were 3 large nests located and treated around the property. This was the largest and most interesting one. Can tell by its size and the way it goes around the lightbulb that it’s been there a while. With the rain and humidity many pests have ramped up into overdrive. ... When there is not a lot of food in the area they will take opportunity where they can. In this case the Bark of this Lime tree. They are also extreme creatures of habit (unlike Mice), returning to a food source until it’s gone if comfortable. This damage is 3 days worth. ... 17.01.2022 The Wolf Spider. This female can be seen dragging her egg case along behind her. As far as parents go, Wolf Spiders are a stand out. She is a roaming spider and so she carries them for safety. Once they hatch they will climb aboard on her back and she will continue to care for them until they go their own way. 17.01.2022 Nothing really surprises me anymore although sometimes come across some gems. These Black Ants were eating this styrofoam plastic in a clients front yard yesterday. Was first alerted by the chewing sound coming from the garden. Exterior treated with a chemical that eliminates the entire nest at the source, not just repel them from the home. ... 16.01.2022 Service Announcement, warning long post. We will be reverting back to our original Lawngrub treatments that we have been using prior to September 16th 2020 effective immediately. This is a full lawn spray to eliminate all grubs, spray of eaves to deter most eggs from being laid. This is a professional strength treatment of the same lawn product bottles from hardware stores. To book this you will need to send a picture of active grubs in your lawn. The treatment is to break... life cycle and allow you to save your lawn and is the treatment we have been using since day 1. To check for activity please flood lawn with water in damaged area and grubs will surface. Discounts apply when booked same day/time as a General Pest. We have been using liquid Acelepryn since that date September 16th 2020. It’s a great product. If you’d like to continue there is a granule DIY which you can buy and apply 2 times annually. Any good turf supplier has it. Acelepryn GR. Our reasons for discontinuing; - The product protects the lawn for 5-6 months. As explained on the day you do need to water in the day of or morning after. If you do not, the treatment sticks to grass blades and is mown off, we cannot control if you do this or not. Also wiping down the eggs is highly recommended and we can’t control this either. - It is to closely related to horticulture which we are not qualified in. Many things can and do go wrong with grass if not looked after properly. Water, fertiliser, aeration etc. - Admin time: before the rain when some lawns were brown we were swamped with photos and messages of lawns saying the treatment had not worked. None of the lawns had activity when checked but sent my anxiety sky high as the business is built on service and doing a good job for my clients. When I receive a photo of grass at 9.30pm I’ve treated, I lay awake until I get all clear next day. I am still the sole operator of the business and spend 12-14hrs a day engaged in it with a young family. - To avoid confusion, disappointment or resentment with our service due to other grass issues. With the old system, you send a photo of grubs, I treat the grubs. For anyone who has had a treatment since September 16th you are still covered until the 5-6 month period after that treatment. The larger dark brown cockroaches you may have seen in your home up to 1.5 inches long. The case contains roughly 20 eggs. The female attaches this somewhere out of sight. 12.01.2022 Came across a nest of my personal favourite Ants over the weekend. The Bullant! I was only able to stay close to film this due to the fact it was extremely cold in early morning and they were not amped up yet. A few hours later it would be a different story. These Ants have extremely good eyesight and will literally follow you if you linger close for to long. Their sting is extremely painful and they have strong mandibles. 09.01.2022 Bed Bugs! Most undesirable and easier to bring home than you’d like. This client keeps his home immaculate and they can happen to anyone. I’m honestly especially paranoid about this pest. In most cases it’s as easy as taking a trip to a hotel/ motel and putting your bag down, buying something secondhand, sitting on a bus/train, heading to the movies or brushing past the wrong person in public. Usually this pest isn’t detected until a heavy infestation is in place due to th...eir nocturnal feeding habits and excellent hiding skills in the day. I mean, when is the last time you had a close look at your bed frame? Never right? Bed bugs feed predominantly on human blood, if you’ve woken with red spots this is sometimes to blame. At times days after the bite marks can show. A very resilient pest that’s build quite a resistance to many pesticides. Adults are 5mm long and females lay 10 eggs a day. When in early stages they are as small as 1mm at hatching. Can easily spread through a home on clothing. Can last over 12 months without a blood meal. Our initial treatment for this pest takes around 3 hours or more in a full hazard suit and we will totally disassemble your bed frames, peel carpet if needed, disassemble bedside tables. These places and many more are prime real estate for the Bed Bug. Bed Bug treatments rely on 100% cooperation from client to be successful and do require a 2 week follow up. This client unfortunately has a number of Rats inside her home. The home is immaculate and I’m putting this down to location/ environmental issue. She has just purchased these shoes and because her property is so tidy, there is not a lot for them to eat inside her home. Leather is always an attractive food source to desperate Rodents. ...
