25.01.2022 And adding to the excitement and drama of a wet horrible first day for Bronte Jo our first time mum Cloversrest Amore, also imported from NZ went into labour 3 1/2 weeks past due date at 9.30 pm. Fortunately all went well but what a surprise to find him this am with a twisted ear. What a little cutie! He's cheeky lively and overly friendly already making it extremely difficult to get photos of him today. What a relief to have some sunshine , a much better day for newborns. And well done Amore and Satchmo Such a relief to have these maidens and their newborns all ok.

25.01.2022 We are done! Our 4th foal for spring and our final for 2020. Our beautiful Ecclestone Valley Maya who rejected her first baby after a difficult birth has successfully raised two other babes since. She loooves her new baby boy born last night at 10.30. Phew what a relief all is well!

22.01.2022 Ecclestone Valley Mickey 3 months old. Sire: Quarter Moon Half Dollar ( Imp USA) Dam: Ecclestone Valley Madalaina Beautiful friendly nature and an absolute pleasure to be with. Mickey is quietly looking for his happily ever after home. We insist as with all our weanlings he has a suitable paddock companion. Mickey has a friend in southern Tas who would be the perfect match with him when ready to go in early October.

22.01.2022 Proud Parents Tantillus Pippin and Clovercrest Satchmo welcome the first spring baby for 2020 for Ecclestone Valley. Loving this little dude already at Just 8 hours old.

21.01.2022 So lovely to be able to say hello to our Ecclestone Valley Little Lilli Lulu all grown up and now owned by Wings Wildlife Park. Lulu is still the sweet natured and lovable girl she always was as a foal and obviously still thrives on attention.

19.01.2022 I've been busy: Our Clovercrest Bobbie Jo delivered a gorgeous strong girl on Thursday afternoon. The weather just awful here yesterday for the first day in the life of a foal but I did manage a few photos. More to follow from today ... in the brilliant sunshine.

11.01.2022 Our EV Madalaina ( hand raised because her mother attempted to kill her at birth) is being beautiful mum again with her second babe. This gorgeous strong boy just made Good Friday arriving at 11.45 last night. Sire: Quarter Moon Half Dollar. Our last EV baby until spring. However foaling down a jenny for a friend ... still waiting Peppi!

His pedigree is laced with reds and blacks offering opportunity to produce lovely colour on top of great conformation.

03.01.2022 We have five lovely foals to enjoy at the moment, 4 EVs and a little black ring in, Brayvale Panda owned by Gina Giddings, having a little holiday here with his mum since before he was born. Panda ( black) and friend Mickey (red) having some fun time this afternoon and a rest to follow. These little guys will both be for sale to the approved forever home.

02.01.2022 What an absolute treat we had here at Ecclestone Valley last week. The first time in 99 years (we missed the last time ha ha) it snowed! Donkeys all ok just totally confused re the crunchy stuff under their feet. Happy to warm up with hay in their tummies. Absolutely beautiful as sun came out. What a day!

Bronte Jo is grand daughter of Country Music Billie Jo Spears ( imp USA), now owned by Clovercrest Stud NZ ... a legend of a jenny, producing many beautiful and well know offspring throughout NZ and Aus. Billie Jo is due to have her final foal before she is retired. With sire Quarter Moon Half Dollar this little girl Bronte Jo should be another fine jenny to carry on her legacy. Congratulations to Westsydes Miniature Donkeys on your future little girl. PS She has her Mother's charmingly big open ears which I have always loved.

He thinks he's the bees knees plus a big boy doing his big boy thing ha ha. A big forever thank you to Marion and Peter Van Dijk for Bella and Caroline and Pete Christian for our super boy Dollar.
