14.01.2022 Local junior football (soccer) players Jared Craven-Griffiths, aged 12, Clayton McCoy, aged 13, Alexander Reeson, aged 13 and Joshua Deckert, aged 13, all players from local Townsville Club, Rebels FC are travelling to Wellington NZ to attend the Ole Football Academy from Sun 5 - Fri 10 Jul 15. ... The academy is an invite only academy where the best players in NZ are invited to attend to develop their football skills and understanding of the game. The academy is held in very high regard throughout the football world. The link to the academy website is http://olefootballacademy.co.nz/ The opportunity for the boys to attend is a private arrangement between the parents and the academy. All boys have a goal to play football at the world elite level. This is seen as an excellent opportunity for the boys to experience life in an academy environment, training with the best players in NZ and being coached and developed by some of the best coaches within NZ, using world's best practices. They will be extensively assessed during their stay, so the visit will provide valuable feedback to the players, parents and coach on their performance and will identify specific areas of improvement, necessary to take them to the next level of development. This opportunity will also give the boys an understanding of the commitment required to achieve their football goals. The boys are extremely appreciative of the generosity of Ole Academy to open their doors to them. In addition to their time at the Ole Academy, the boys will be attending a training session as guests of the Wellington Phoenix Football Club. We have decided to sponsor these boys and support them. We would like to support their dreams and goals.
