25.01.2022 On behalf of Echuca Football Club we wish to pass on our condolences to the whole Kennaugh family on the recent passing of Bob. Bob Kennaugh was always with us when we played at home or away and his input to our club over his life was enormous. The example both he and Beryl set for all our club people was something that we will all be eternally grateful for. Bob & Beryl will be missed greatly but never forgotten and we are so much better for their involvement over such a long period of time at the Echuca Football Netball Club.

Training commenced tonight, and we will announce details of our selection trials in the next few weeks. We wish everyone a Safe and Happy Christmas with family and friends, and are looking forward to getting back on the courts in 2021. See more

01.01.2022 Echuca Football Netball Club respectively acknowledge the recent passing of Graeme Arthur, an AFL Hall of Fame member and club immortal at the Hawthorn Football Club. Our thoughts are with Mary and the extended family at this time. Graeme made a significant contribution to the Echuca Football Club during his tenure. He was recruited as a playing coach in 1969 and coached the club for six years during their final years in the Bendigo Football League. He was to become the pre...miership coach of the 1970 Grand Final side against Sandhurst, Echuca winning the game by 6 points. Sadly Mort missed the game through injury. It is remembered that the final quarter required an effort by the team that was to be the last of the sandhills climbed in 1970. Graeme is remembered as stern coach, generous leader and a great man affectionally known to all as Mort. His influence was felt beyond the football ground and he remains well regarded in his role as a mentor to many people in Echuca during his time in town and for many years beyond. The memories of an exquisite chuckle, the humorous glint that turned to a steely flint on his direction during the game but with a quiet word of personal encouragement to achieve more, to become better and play as a team remain strong with his players during the years at Echuca. Thank you Mort for your contribution to our club
