23.01.2022 Basketball Update . Basketball Victoria will share with us over the coming week an approved return to basketball plan based on when restrictions are eased . As soon as we are able to recommence some form of basketball we will get you back on court within what is allowed . I will update you as we learn more . Phil Candy

11.01.2022 Great News - selection trials for junior Pirates and training to start . After formal approval from the Campaspe Shire yesterday 23/11 to commence using the stadium we have asked the coaches for each age group when they can be available for try outs over the coming week . So dust of those runners and find the black shorts and be ready to go .... Will advise more over the next day or so . Thanks Phil

10.01.2022 Update for the basketball community . The Campaspe Shire will Issue entry codes late this week that will see our ability to enter the stadium . They are organising a substantial clean this week . We have close to 140 juniors that have expressed interest in returning to training and attending a Pirate selection session to enter that training squad .... We understand the Bendigo Junior Tournament on the Australia Day long weekend in January will go ahead for regional teams . Commencing a domestic season is tough in 2020 with a registration process and team selection challenged by school end of term some 4 weeks away . Likely to look towards a Summer season commencing Term 1 in 2021 . A committee meeting will discuss these options in the coming week. We have to develop a Covid Safe plan and will likely adopt the Basketball Victoria plan and advice from DHHS . Training sessions over summer will be very much aligned to coach availability and volunteers to do the required cleaning after every use of the stadium . We will also look to hold our delayed AGM as soon as we are allowed to do that . Any questions send me a message . Will advise more after our coming committee meeting . Thanks Phil Candy
