24.01.2022 Whatever your wellness goal/s might be this year, they will always take more effort and be harder to achieve than you first thought. That doesn't mean that they are any less worthy of being your goal. Put that extra effort and time in because that's what makes it even more satisfying when you reach those goals!

19.01.2022 We can never have too many reminders to wash our hands! Everyone frequently touches their eyes, noise and mouth without even realising it, this puts us at risk of spreading germs from our hands to our face without knowing. This is a friendly reminder to wash your hands regularly and, when you can't wash your hands, use hand sanitiser.

15.01.2022 Today is World TB Day which is observed to raise awareness of about one quarter of the world's population which is infected with tuberculosis (TB) bacteria. People with weakened immune systems have a much greater risk of falling ill from TB however, an estimated 60 million lives were saved through TB diagnosis and treatment between 2000 and 2019. Ending the TB epidemic by 2030 is among the health targets of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We're doing ...what we can to help fight this disease and you can find out more about it here: https://www.who.int/news-ro/fact-sheets/detail/tuberculosis #worldTBday #endTB #TB

14.01.2022 According to science, our tongue is the strongest muscle in our body despite it being small in size. This teaches us a valuable lesson on how powerful our words can be and reminds us how we can forget the power of those words. Express positive and kind thoughts to people you talk to in the store, in the restaurants, or anywhere. Help someone to be comforted and share positivity!

14.01.2022 We're here for even the most uncomfortable questions. Our GPs take your privacy very seriously and work hard to always be approachable. There are no stupid questions when it comes to your health and no matter how uncomfortable you may find it, the chances are that we've heard it before!... Instead of putting it off, talk to your GP about it.

08.01.2022 We know that it can be daunting going into a medical clinic for the first time. That's why we have created a virtual tour so that you and your loved ones know what to expect. You can view it here: https://familydoctor.com.au/buderim-eckersley/fees/

07.01.2022 Health tip: Don't neglect to connect. Yes. Make time to connect with your loved ones. Get back into the habit of checking in on them and make time to spend with them.... Need to talk with someone else? Call us and let's schedule an appointment with your GP.

06.01.2022 How many times have you decided on a goal and looked back and realised that you never even knew how you were going to achieve it? We can all agree that it's not enough to just decide on a goal, we also need to decide on a plan to achieve it. This #MedicalMarch decide on your goal and write down the steps that you are going to take to achieve it. To help you achieve your goal, you can use this template as well as speak with your GP about the right goal and plan for you. ... To receive support in achieving your goal while supporting others to achieve theirs, join our Medical March Community Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/189908459136695/ We'd also love to hear how your Medical March goal is going, let us know in the comments below

05.01.2022 Strength grows in the moments when you think you can't go on but you keep going anyway. #strength #strengthquotes

05.01.2022 Did you know? When you smile, your brain releases tiny molecules called neuropeptides to help fight off stress. Then other neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin and endorphins come into play too. The endorphins act as a mild pain reliever, whereas the serotonin is an antidepressant. So, not only does smiling make you feel better but it's free!... You can read more about the health benefits of smiling here: https://www.sclhealth.org//the-real-health-benefits-of-sm/# #smilemore #smilingmakesitbetter

04.01.2022 With all the surprises this world throws at us, let's keep our focus on those which are most important, like your health! Feeling anything unusual? Get up from what you are doing and call us now! There's no harm in an extra check up. #dontwaitmate #yourhealthmatters

03.01.2022 It's been a year since this global pandemic has started. It changed our lives immeasurably. This post is to encourage you to go get your coffee and sit and talk to someone who you've been through the past year with. Sit and relax and count not just the things that you were restricted by, but more importantly your wins and victories!... Let us know in the comments what your wins are, we'd love to hear them too! #medicalmarch
