24.01.2022 EA is very excited to welcome French Jewellery designer Christine Bouet to our collective. In 2005 Christine began assembling and experimenting with a variety of materials, such as, stones, silver, exotic wood, horn, etc., without any formal training other than her creativity. Initially self-taught, seminars and internships led her to perfect her skills and obtain a Certificate of Professional Aptitude in Art and Techniques of Jewellery in 2016, after 2 years at the Ecole de...s Métiers d'Art de Paris. Since then Christine has continued to explore various jewellery making techniques, particularly the lost wax technique. She creates her jewellery intuitively, freeing herself from the restrictive codes of traditional jewellery making. Bold, unique personal pieces, far removed from the latest fashion trends, produced as limited series, characterize her work. Each piece of jewellery presents a challenge where Christine directs all her creativity and her technique to realize a piece that will move and seduce women like her, lovers of freedom with an assertive style. Having always had a creative side, what initially started as a way to meet new people in a new country quickly became a passion for learning, experimenting and working with traditional metalsmithing techniques. Working predominately with precious metals and gemstones, Tracey uses a combination of techniques to explore form and texture in creating her pieces.
