25.01.2022 On this day 3years ago I signed our first lease, picked up the keys to a run down old shop in Bargo after being in Business for 9months renting a chair in another salon .. I took the leap of faith to follow my dreams! Excited and scared as to whether it would work, I gutted the shop and finally opened on our one year anniversary of being in operation. As we now head into our next lease I can honestly say it’s been challenging, rewarding and not always smooth sailing, From w...here the salon was and to where it is now I am so grateful for the love and support I have from many to continue to be your local hairdressing salon. I’m looking forward to what the next 12months brings and am more excited than ever to continue to grow the salon. 22.01.2022 I just wanted to say Thank you to my loyal clients for understanding the need to take deposits over the December period. I appreciate your time to call and make payment to secure your appointment. I have unfortunately have also had a mixed response and some people have felt offended that I have asked for a deposit hence why I wanted to clarify the requirement of a deposit. We are already Experiencing appointments not showing or cancelling less than 24hours before appointme...nt which means we can not fill it. If I wasn’t an appointment based small business who relies on clientele bookings to remain in operation I wouldn’t be asking for the deposits over this time. I am turning away clients who would like the opportunity to book and also staffing based on these bookings. There are countless hours of time and my skills in addition to my staff to enable to service everyone and we are not the only hair and beauty businesses doing this. 22.01.2022 I know a few of my male clients who love a good mullet ... Male Mental health issues isn’t always something people talk about unfortunately until it’s too late ! Some of you may know my ex partner struggled with mental health issues and sadly took his own life last year.... He isn’t the only person I know who unfortunately struggled on a daily basis, A dear friend who was like a second father to me also took his life after many years of battling mental health issues and he always sported one of the best mullets So in their honour every mullet done in salon for the month of September we will be donating $5 to this worthy cause ! 20.01.2022 As an appointment based business we have had no choice than to make the decision to take non refundable deposits for all scheduled bookings in December. This decision has not been made lightly and I will be contacting all appointments in the next few days to make arrangements for deposit as we are already experiencing no shows and last minute cancellations for no valid reasons. 20.01.2022 Just a little update the salon is keeping upto date with all restrictions and relevant cases within NSW At this time we feel we can ease Mask wearing and staff will not be wearing masks unless we feel necessary to bring it back in. As a client we will allow you to decide if you would like to wear one or if you prefer us to wear one during your appointment please let us know upon booking. With no cases in our local area we feel we can ease things however, all other measures... including record keeping and increased cleaning remain in place.
