21.01.2022 Its great to see the team enjoying themselves and getting on top of some injuries.Over the corona break we had some great advice and the team would like to thank Walter Plath and Brian Chapman for going out of their way to help.Even though 2020 is going to be very limited I am confident that 2021 will be an exceptional year

16.01.2022 In regards to State cross country to be held at Limestone Park on the 5 Sept 2020 Hi Bruce, As with all Queensland Athletics Cross Country events entry is open to all athletes 6 years and up, the major change going forward for us compared to past events is that everyone must be a registered member due to legalities around Covid 19 and contact tracing and there will be no late entries allowed on the day. So basically you do not need to have competed at School/District/Regiona...l to be able to compete at this event. Selections for Nationals will be from this event with further info supplied soon after further/ongoing discussions with Athletics Australia. Regards, Queensland Athletics

15.01.2022 Well this doesnt surprise us and as further details come to light I will post them. The Board of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the World Athletics Cross Country Championships has recommended the World Athletics Council postpone the World Athletics Cross Country Championships, which is currently scheduled to be held in Bathurst, NSW on March 20, 2021.

15.01.2022 Our Squad only had 4 runners today and all 4 won convincingly.Great effort .I couldnt be more proud.

14.01.2022 Eclipse Athletes awards night for 2020 .Faith Southers-Snape = Senior Club Champion, Jayda Yorkson =Sprint Champion , Aliesha Byl = Cross Country Champion , Miki Smith = Long Distance Champion , and Teleah Byl = Junior Club Champion. Life time membership awarded to Vanda Smith.

14.01.2022 Miki showed this year determination and hard work paid a huge dividend as she won the 800m at athletics and the cross country.Well done champ, I couldn't be more proud of you.

12.01.2022 Jessica Hull (BAN) smashed the 18-year-old Australian 5000m record clocking 14:43.80. Australian record by 3.8 secs Broke Australian record set 18 yrs ago Fastest outdoor time by an Oceania athlete... NSW record PB by 16.52 seconds would have been 13th on the world list in 2019 first Australian women’s national record in a distance event from 3000m + for 14 years HULL Quotes: This race was hard! I knew it was gonna hurt, but it's a pain I never knew before! I was so surprised because we got to 6 laps to go and I felt alright and then we came down with 3 to go and I was like "oh my goodness" I'm never gonna finish. But my teammate was right there and while we haven't been able to train together because she was training in Portland while I was in Australia, we were training in parallel and I took confidence that if Shannon (Rowbury) could do it, then I could do it and vice versa.

12.01.2022 Both Faith and Jayda are age Athletic Champions and I couldn't be more proud of them.Both these girls have started at Eclipse quite shy and as time has gone by they have shone with enthusiasm. We might only be a small squad but we are huge on accomplishments

12.01.2022 This year we had a ray of sunshine join our club named Taleah .In her first year with us she has become the aged athletics champion, aged cross country champion and junior club champion.Not only that she is a great netball player too.I ask her to do something once and never have to repeat myself but all focus is on her to have fun and hopefully when she becomes a teenager she will make the Qld team even stronger.

11.01.2022 Paris 2024 Olympics to include cross country. Each team would be composed of two men and two women. Each member of the team would run two legs of the 2.5km course, alternating between male and female athletes as each athlete completes the 2.5km course and hands over to a teammate.

11.01.2022 Some positive news with both Vanda and Jayda taking on a new treatment for their knees with great success. I think we will see these two faster and stronger once competition resumes

10.01.2022 Coast Fitness at Trinity has been our major sponsor for sometime now and with out their generosity and support we would be at a disadvantage as a club .Again we cant thank them enough.If anyone in the northern beaches needs a great gym you cant go past them.

05.01.2022 Vanda , Aliesha and Faith rocked awards night .But the stand out was our club captain Faith as she took out some of the schools prestigious awards. Congratulations girls.
