25.01.2022 F I N E ~ M O T O R This morning our toddler children explored their fine motor development as they used tongs to transfer coloured ice into the coloured bowls.



24.01.2022 L E M O N ~ V O L C A N O Science experiments are so much fun! Our Pre Kinder children have been busy experimenting with lemon, food colouring and bicarb soda. With all those ingredients mixed together it causes a reaction!

24.01.2022 C R E A T I N G ~ P I C T U R E S Want to get creative with paint All you need to do is: ... Put some paint on a table Draw a picture with your fingers Place the paper on top of the paint and push down Your drawing will then have transferred onto the paper!

23.01.2022 S E N S O R Y ~ B O T T L E S With just some water, baby oil and a plastic bottle our Toddler's made their very own sensory bottles. They started off by shaking them vigorously, but once they stopped to observe they noticed the oil separating from the water. ... This experience lead to the children’s critical thinking and assist with the ability to understand cause and effect.

17.01.2022 - N A T U R E - With autumn here, our children have been noticing the leaves falling from the trees. Our toddlers collected some of these and other natural items to then use in their pasting activities!

16.01.2022 R E C Y C L E D ~ M A T E R I A L S Our children love incorporating recycled materials into their everyday play, and this week they have been busy painting and decorating boxes!



16.01.2022 H A L L O W E E N ~ B I N G O With Halloween around the corner, our Kinder room have incorporated Halloween bingo into their curriculum. While rolling a dice and recognising the number, the children then have to identify the number on the board, the winner is the first one to cover all their numbers!

16.01.2022 F R U I T ~ J U I C I N G Today our Kinder children have been practicing their independence skills as they cut and juiced their own oranges and lemons. After the juiced the fruit they then got to drink it, some said it was very sour!

15.01.2022 S E L F ~ S E R V I N G We encourage children to build on their independence by extending on their self serving skills. This also gives children choices, of what they would like to place in their bowls!

15.01.2022 R A I N B O W ~ O O B L E K Our toddler children all came and gathered around the table this morning to get involved in making rainbow ooblek. They all took it in turns mixing each individual colour. Once it was prepared it was then tipped it into the large black tray, where the children then identified which colours.

15.01.2022 W A T E R ~ P L A Y With the warm weather upon us our little nursery children are taking advantage by engaging in water play. Their smiles say it all!

14.01.2022 E X P L O R I N G ~ S N A I L S Our younger and older children have taken a huge interest in snails over the past week and what better way to extend on that then collecting snails and making our own snail home for them! 14.01.2022 P I R A T E S A H O Y ~ Our Toddlers are using natural and recycled items in their very own treasure hunt to celebrate 'Talk Like A Pirate Day'! I wonder what goodies they found?

13.01.2022 F L A G S Our Kinder children have been using their creativity skills to paint the Aboriginal and the Torres Strait Islander flags. Torres Strait Islander Flag... Green represents the land Black represents the Indigenous peoples Blue - represents the sea White represents peace Aboriginal Flag Black represents the Aboriginal people of Australia Yellow circle represents the Sun, the giver of life and protector Red represents the red earth, the red ochre used in ceremonies and Aboriginal peoples’ spiritual relation to the land.

13.01.2022 H A L L O W E E N ~ P U M P K I N Our Pre Kinder children are getting in the spirit of Halloween by carving their very own jack-o-lantern! After they finishing pulling the inside of the pumpkin out and cutting out its face, they then used the seeds to create sensory smile.

13.01.2022 P E T E R ~ T H E ~ P A N D A Our Toddler two children have introduced Peter the panda into their room! Peter is going to be adventuring to the children's house to expand on our children's independence, turn taking and a sense of belonging within our community! ... We can't wait to see all the adventures Peter gets up to.

12.01.2022 N U M E R A C Y To extend on number recognition, our Pre Kinder children were engaged in a numeracy activity setup within their room. They started by counting the numbers on the stick one by one, until they found the missing number and then sourced the missing number on the peg.

12.01.2022 W A T E R W I S E Our kinder children are very excited to announce that they have won a merit prize from Western Water after entering a competition on how they are water wise! Western Water held an incursion with our Kinder children where they discussed the importance of water in our lives and encouraged the children to be water wise. Just look how excited they are! Congratulations guys!

12.01.2022 ~ Sensory ~ Our babies are frequently introduced to new experiences that support their development. This morning children were provided with a box, some balls and paint. They were able to push the balls around the box to create a piece of artwork. This activity was not only very engaging but it also allowed children to work on visual tracking, a fine motor skill important for their development.

09.01.2022 C R E A T I N G ~ F A C E S Our Kinder children were busy yesterday, creating their very own faces. They were given an outline of a head and various skin colour pieces of paper to choose from. They 'collaged' the face so that the face had skin and then they were given many different types of facial features that they could choose from, that they could cut out carefully and paste onto their heads.

07.01.2022 P R I M A R Y ~ C O L O U R S Our Kinder children have been busy extending on their colour knowledge by mixing two colours together to make another colour.

07.01.2022 ~ Primary & secondary colours ~ This week, Junior kinder children engaged in a creative colour experiment to learn about secondary colours. Children were thrilled when their blue and yellow paint mixed together to make green!

06.01.2022 D I W A L I Today we celebrated Diwali which is a Festival of Lights. Our amazing educators shared their beautiful anar koli dresses for all of our other educators and children to wear!

05.01.2022 C O L O U R ~ R E C O G N I T I O N Colours have been a huge interest within our Toddler room. Educators have extended on that interest by setting up a colour sorting experience.

04.01.2022 S P O O N V I L L E Our Kinder children have been busy decorating spoons, they are still deciding whether or not they will put them with the spoonville village in Eynesbury, or if they are going to hide them in the bush to find when Bush Kinder commences.
