16.01.2022 At Educational Case Management our clinicians are committed to providing the best possible service through ongoing Professional Development. Recently, our Practice Manager Lynette Bainbridge attended a BEHAVIOURAL MANAGEMENT PLAN WORKSHOP. As a Psychologist/Registered Behavioural Specialist Lynette has proven knowledge and experience in Behaviour Intervention and Support. Below are some aspects covered in Lynette's most recent training. It’s a new world for Behaviour Interve...ntion and Support. Some of the rules are the same, however now they are legislation. This means that as an NDIS Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner you need to be on top of all aspects of functional assessment, data collection, skill development, Regulated Restrictive Practices, and NDIS Commission and FACS reporting requirements. What a comprehensive BSP with restrictive practices MUST include. Functional Assessment the ins and outs and the evidence-based assessment tools. Data collection and gathering tips and tricks to get consistent and accurate data. The legal requirements for completing a comprehensive BSP. Understanding what is a Regulated Restrictive Practice. Writing Restrictive Practice protocol and fade out strategies. Submitting plans to the NDIS Commission. FACS authorisation and the role of the Behaviour Support Practitioner. Tricks to consistent implementation of strategies. Monitoring and reviewing behaviour support plans. Reporting to NDIA, including recommendations for additional funding. Prioritising behaviour supports when a participant has limited funding. Managing caseloads when you have time frames for completing plans set by the Commission (1 month in some cases).

10.01.2022 Are you looking to see a real change in your child's social and emotional well-being? Give us a call to learn more about our evidence-based school holiday group programs 02 4969 8060. Our Drumbeat program combines learning with cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), and engages children who may be resistant to "talk based" therapies. Exposure to music and participation in a team drumming experience has been shown to positively affect children by improving self-esteem and levels of cooperation and decreasing antisocial behaviour.
