24.01.2022 We all grew up with the ABC - from Playschool to Bananas in Pajamas. Its apart of our summers and winters- from cricket to the Hottest 100 Countdown, to gettin...g critical warning messages about floods and fire. Watch live from Parliament as I outline why we need to protect the ABC from Turnbulls attack on public broadcasting.

23.01.2022 Ecocern is now making box bottom carry bags. Comming soon.
23.01.2022 If we all used ecocern 100% post-consumer recycled copy paper, stationery, bags and packaging made from the fruits of our recycling efforts, there would be no mountain of unused recycled paper scrap. Just using " Recycled" white paper, does nothing, as it is not made from domestic paper scrap.Usually partly made from mill broke, which is normal virgin paper making methodology. Often there are misleading claims on some papers such as : "100 % Australian Recycled Paper. The "...100%" grammatically refers to "Australia". What % recycled 1% ? Others are made in China, where anything goes. There would be no need to cut down what is left of our native forests, that absorb Co2 and create precipitation by cooling moist air, if we all used real recycled paper, made from low grade paper scrap. The loss of any forest will result in water shortages as this forest slowly releases water. Let alone increased Co2. The water crisis, that Melbourne is starting to experience, is because largely to the Gippsland forest is being wood chipped, for white paper. No need to be using it at all.
22.01.2022 And cut more wood chipping of the Gippsland forest that held absorb CO2 and store water. Wasted on white copy paper and thin paper bag paper white and brown.
21.01.2022 Mary and Matthews mothers were killed as a result of deforestation. Not all joeys are lucky enough to survive. We have to end the deforestation crisis in NSW. Sign the petition to stand up for koalas: bit.ly/end-deforestation
21.01.2022 Another idea is to stop using white native forest paper and thin brown and white paper bags made from our native forests many of which are illegally logged world heritage forest.
20.01.2022 Last week we launched our campaign for the Victorian election, which will be held in November. Will you support our campaign vision? - forest protection, public transport not mega roads, smart climate energy & sustainable cities. You can sign on to the vision here:

19.01.2022 What a refreshingly honest government ad! Email your State Energy Minister now and tell them to REJECT Turnbulls dirty power plan! >> act.gp/neg Video by our friends at The Juice Media. This post authorised by D Rowe, 2/33 Mountain Street, Ultimo NSW 2007.
19.01.2022 With our elections coming up the sustainable sincerity of our politicians can be gauged by the paper they are using. Usually rain forest plastic coated gloss paper. Very few use ecocern real recycled paper made only from the fruit of our recycling efforts. See ecocern. com.
19.01.2022 Is your choice of paper making you part of the destruction of the planet?

18.01.2022 Using laminated plastic menus creat a corona contagion. Mat paper menu / placemats hold virus for a few hours at all compared to plastic for a month. Use ecocern menu/ placemats for a hygienic restaurant or cafe . See ecocern.com for real 100% post-consumer recycling paper , stationery, bags and packaging.
17.01.2022 What next?? No ABC and now protesting or contradicting the government soon to be illegal soon. Just like another province of China.
15.01.2022 With our election coming up we can see the sustainable sincerity of the polys by their choice of stationery. Usually gloss plastic coated native forest white bleached paper. If real 100% post-consumer recycled unbleached made only from the fruit of our recycling efforts the paper should be gray brown like the Ecocern copy paper and stationery products.

11.01.2022 To all our lovely Fairtees friends out there, As you might know, we have just sold this little business that we love, to start some new adventures! And as we we...lcome the wonderful new owner Ollie Khedun, we would like to farewell you! First off, we want to send out a huge & warm thank you to all of our supporters - friends, family and customers- who have stood behind us over the past 4.5 years! Ella and I have loved wrapping your parcels, were so encouraged by the phone or email chats we got to have with you, and were stoked to be able to support your many wonderful events and organisations with printed gear. Most of all, it made us so happy when you were as excited about our clothes as we were!!! (and thats pretty excited). And we thank you for that, because your enthusiasm has helped to spread an understanding around Australia of the need for greater fairness and environmental care in all aspects of clothing production, and that means a lot to us. When I look back, there were a lot of small moments over the course of my life that I reckon influenced me to start Fairtees in March of 2013, when I was 26. I think most of them happened while I was either travelling, or wide-eyed in front of a glowing screen. Watching the Story of Stuff videos by living legend Annie Leonard, meeting a 5 year old girl rescued out of sex-trafficking in rural Cambodia, staying with a sweatshop worker where she lived inside a tin shed in downtown Phnom Penh, meeting people enduring extreme poverty across Southeast Asia, befriending an Uzbek woman who had been a forced cotton picker as a child from the age of 7, witnessing intense environmental degradation and pollution across India that affected both environmental and human health, and working on and learning from beautifully productive organic farms in Tasmania. All of these moments and more led me to a greater understanding of my own hand in the suffering of my new friends around the world, even from all the way down here in Australia. Once I understood that, I wanted to do what I could to prevent and stop it, and the most obvious thing to tackle first was my consumption, use and care (or lack thereof) of everyday items from tees to toothbrushes. We are really thankful for the new Fairtees owner Ollie Khedun, who is a genuinely lovely, friendly and kind person. And were so excited, because we believe that the combination of Ollies skills and his close alignment with the values behind Fairtees (caring for each other and caring for the earth) are going to see this little business continue to grow and do some very good things! :D I would also like to thank our wonderful suppliers and partners for all of their help over the years: Stanley Stella for your absolutely beautiful clothes (that I probably will wear forever), and for your professionalism combined with your warm, friendly service, Arcade Screen Printing for your high quality, eco-friendly printing, your friendliness and general awesomeness, Carbon Neutral for your incredible work creating the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor across Western Australia and for letting us start out small in 2013 with our carbon offset tree-planting! (I am completely stoked to say that 320 of the trees in this WA Corridor are there because of Fairtees customers!!!), and Ecocern Pty Ltd for your top-quality, 100% post-consumer recycled paper products that we love and completely recommend to everyone. And of course, where would we be without the skilled hands and dedicated hearts of the many people who played a part in making the clothes we stock? From the Indian organic cotton farmers to the Bangladeshi garment factory workers - we are in awe of and indebted to you Lastly I want to very warmly thank Ella and Isaac Feeney - my loving friends who happily saddled up to go on this wild Fairtees journey with me, without whom this temperamental pony (ie. business) would never have gotten its four shaky legs off the ground. Your delicious carrots (ie. skills) helped to lead this pony (ie. Fairtees) onto much greener pastures (ie. SEO rankings). A corral of whipcracking thanks to you both, with never-ending lame metaphors. Rach
10.01.2022 The last thing a responsible government should do is cut Medicare during a global health emergency, but thats exactly what Scott Morrisons government is doing. Heres whats happening.
10.01.2022 Yeeeeeew!!! We are lovvvvving our buisness cards designed by the creative @elleedesigns . . We printed them at home on card made from 100% post consumer recycle...d paper scrap from Michael at Ecocern Australia. . . Unfortunately using paper made from our forests is exacerbating one of the worlds rapidly growing environmental catastrophes. Many of these forest products falsely or misleadingly claim to be recycled so it was an absolute pleasure and also a relief to have stumbled across an Australian company that can not only talk the talk but walk the walk . . If you or your company are also after products made from 100% post consumer recycled paper scrap then we highly suggest emailing Michael at [email protected] . . #design #buisness #cards #recycled #postconsumerwaste #reuse #recycle #ecocern #australia #plasticfree #ecofriendly #graphicdesign #support #smallbusiness #steviesstallandco #byronbay #lennoxhead #onlineshopping #local #market #handmade #recycledgifts #macrame #plants #naturalskincare #diy #essentialoils #jojoba #sheabutter See more
09.01.2022 Want to know the real reason Scott Morrison wont act on climate even as these fires devastate our country? We teamed up with investigative journalist Michael W...est to lift the lid on the toxic stranglehold that Big Coal has over our political system. We didnt anticipate the scale of what we uncovered: a secretive network behind coals dirty power that has infiltrated Australia federal government to its core. 09.01.2022 Real recycled paper made only from the fruit of our recycling efforts. No tricks no lies . All white copy paper made in Australia is made at the only mill in the Gippsland forest or what is left of it. Wasting this valuable timber unnecessarily for paper. Let alone the fire hazard created from cutting down old growth forest as new forest is much more flammable. Further loss of water storage and precipitation created by old growth forest as well as loss of Co2 absorbing fores...ts. A fast as those who are ecologically concerned are planting trees the multinational wood chip company who makes all of our white paper is cutting down our forests. More is being cut down globally by the same company including world heritage forest. None of the white paper made in Australia is made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper made from the paper we put out for recycling. If you are fairdinkum about sustainability you will not be using white copy paper and stationery. Use ecocern real recycled paper products instead. Copy paper , stationery, packaging and bags. Take a squiz at : ecocern.com Be part of the solution not part of the climate emergency problem! Before it is too late!
09.01.2022 Did you know the shopping bags provided to customers at Market Fair are Australian made from 100% post consumer recycled paper?? #australianmade
08.01.2022 AGAIN GLADYS "THE KOALA KILLAS" BUDDIES ARE AT IT AGAIN.
08.01.2022 Now to ban all plastic bags as all (including vegetable plastics) break down into micro plastics, one the causes rising rates of cancer and ill health let alone killing wildlife.
08.01.2022 PRETEND RECYCLED PAPER. There are numerous pretend recycled paper products being marketed as 100% post-consumer recycled when not. All white copy paper in Australia is made at the only mill in the Gippsland forest. This paper is not real 100% post-consumer recycled despite false or trick wording recycled claims that are everywhere. Also thin brown paper bags are not recycled with false or trick wording recycled claims such as : Use recycled brown bags This does not mean ...the bag is actually recycled. Most of these trick pretend recycled bags are made in China. Also must gift wrap is the same with exception of the Ecocern native floral gift wrap. Due to recent government legislation real recycled white copy paper can’t be imported giving Nippon Daishou who makes all brands of white copy paper the monopoly. None of these papers are real recycled and actually made from the scrap we put out for recycling. Ecocern unbleached copy paper , bags and packaging is made in Australia only from our paper scrap. See : ecocern.com for more information.
08.01.2022 If you want to preserve our native forests do not use Australian made white paper products as the paper is all made by Nippon Daishou at the only white paper mi...ll left that makes copy paper, stationery paper , white and thin brown bag paper in the Gippsland Forest. Ecocern copy paper, stationery, bags and packaging , all unbleached and made only from the fruit of your recycling efforts. No point in recycling unless you use 100% post-consumer recycled paper products made from domestic and industrial paper scrap like old cartons and household paper scrap. Just recycled copy paper is not made from household paper scrap, just mill broke content that is usual paper manufacturing methodology. Unnecessarily destroying our forests is adding to climate change. Criminal ignorance in no longer an excuse. See more

05.01.2022 Real recycled paper that actually is 100% post-consumer recycled made only from the fruit of your recycling efforts.

03.01.2022 All white copy paper in Australia is made at the only mill in the Gippsland forest. It is not there because it was or is a pretty place. Not real 100% post-consumer recycled despite false or trick wording recycled claims . Often sold in disguise in different wrappers. Dept of fair trading does nothing about the false recycled claims. Thin brown and white paper bags are not made from recycled paper that are also are sold with false recycled or trick wording claims. These bags ...often are made with plasticised paper as plastic is cheaper than wood chip. Usually from China . They do not use recycled paper scrap as wood chip is almost free in comparison. The only real 100% post-consumer recycled unbleached bags are those made by Ecocern. These bags and products are used by numerous socially responsible organisations. The sustainable proof is in the pudding. Easy to tell who is fairdinkum about sustainability by the stationery used or packaging. Many , more interested in donations or profit than anything else . See ecocern.com for further information . See more
02.01.2022 REAL RECYCLED PAPER ONLY MADE FROM THE FRUIT OF YOUR RECYCLING EFFORTS. NO TRICK WORDING FALSE RECYCLED CLAIMS LIKE THOSE IN WHITE PAPER AND PRETEND THIN RECYCLED PAPER BAGS MADE FROM OUR NATIVE FORESTS. BE PART OF THE CLIMATE CHANGE SOLUTION AND NOT PART OF THE PROBLEM. SEE: ECOCERN.COM
