21.01.2022 This weeks Spotlight in Business is Bells By The Beach, a Pet Friendly Holiday House. Retiring in 2006, Jan and Linley moved to Ocean Grove, intent on setting up a holiday house. Doing just that and more so, Jan and Linley distinctly (and passionately) set their accommodation apart with their penchant for pet friendliness. Over the years, their reputation for good, clean and pet friendly accommodation has grown. Visitors love the considerate, friendly, welcoming and ...relaxing way in which they operate not only toward guests but also their four-legged friends. Located in Ocean Grove, Bells by the Beach is an oasis for people and their fur-babies. The three-bedroom house is fully fenced and secure, equipped with a warm outdoor shower, gas log fire, self-catered kitchen, central heating and allowance for pets to sleep indoors! Like many other businesses, Bells by the Beach have been affected by the current COVID-19 restrictions but are extremely grateful that planning a holiday (when it is safe to go) is a great distraction during this trying time. Following state and federal protocols, Bells by the Beach pride themselves on a clean and safe environment with extra procedures already put in place, including temperature checks on arrival, house-keys delivered in zip bags, guest register on arrival and contactless departure when guests leave. We have been visiting Bells by the Beach for years and have only ever had great experiences. I have never stayed in a more dog friendly accommodation. Its always sparkling clean with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We love the gardens to relax in and the short walk to the beach. Our dogs love staying there. Always leave feeling refreshed and keen to return. 18.01.2022 This weeks Spotlight in Business is PAPPYON. After being based in Melbourne for a large part of her professional career as a financial adviser, Pappyon founder, Sonia Zeiback returned home to Geelong just as Covid-19 hit. With an opportunity to base Pappyon in Geelong, Sonia and co-founder, Dan Ahchow immersed themselves in the regions business community and let Pappyon take flight Pappyon aims to streamline the way people in business connect, build trust and create op...portunity. Like LinkedIn, Pappyon is a social networking platform for business connection, however its key point of difference is that it serves businesses ahead of individuals. While LinkedIn is great for a collection of contacts type of networking and for individuals looking to advance their professional careers, Pappyon addresses the need for businesses and their owners to build relationships. Operating in a digital economy, Pappyon utilises their tech to enhance the building of stronger business relationships and significantly aid in making a professional first impression, all while eradicating the environmental harm that comes with the use of paper-based business cards. Helping to drive innovation in the area, boost employment opportunities and put Geelong on the map, right up alongside Silicon Valley, be the change with Pappyon and connect.
