20.01.2022 This week, Early childhood educators and teachers across the country will go into early learning services, preschools and schools where they will interact with ...children of essential workers who could be exposed to COVID-19. They will not be given face masks or protective clothing. They won't get free coffee, half price pizza or special shopping hours. They will perform their jobs in ways they have never done before and they will do it with a smile on their faces so that the children in their care don't know how scared they are; Scared for those children. Scared for their own. Scared of being responsible for taking the virus home to loved ones. Thank you to all Educators, Teachers and anyone else heading into an early learning centre, preschool or school this week to keep it running so that our amazing health workers and carers can take care of the sick and the vulnerable, our shops can stay open and services can continue. 08.01.2022 At this time more than ever before our families need our support and understanding. Families are loosing their jobs in unprecedented numbers or being forced to work from home, while prices for basic good continue to increase- without warning. This is not something anyone saw coming and so the expectation that families could give 4, 2 or even 1 week notice of either ending care or taking leave for their child at a childcare service is simply unrealistic. We’ve been told even N...ot for Profit services are requiring this! At Eco Kids ELC we have waived any and all policies regarding notice periods. Of course we too have substantial wages and overheads but the government has offered assistance and we will access a substantial bank overdraft to ensure we are here at the other end of this and with our heads held high. The welfare of children and families has always been our priority. We support our families in the Australian way. See more

This ...is more than being not a bigot, none of us want to raise the next leader of the KKK. But we have a deep responisibility to raise our kids to be more than "not racist" or "not bigots", we have the responsibility, and the oppurtunity to raise a generation of kids who are ANTI-RACIST.
