16.01.2022 After the rain it is good to see some of our gully plantings (near Poona Dam and subject to flooding) are doing well! Meanwhile on the creek lines the pioneers we planted are starting to kick on. #pioneerspecies_research #gully #vegetationmanagementproject #seqwater #community

12.01.2022 Between 1 and 7 March @maroochy_botanicgardens there are opportunities to take part in Guided Walks and Talks on a broad range of areas that would be of interest to our followers and volunteers. Most activities are free, with propagation workshops and also a talk with the delightful nitaclarelester.com reasonably priced at $10. https://tinyurl.com/8rndmcyc Rui #ediblenatives #guidedwalk ... #botanicalart See more

09.01.2022 Dear followers, please share this like the waste warriors you are! Survey closes 2 March 2020. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H8PBD6G For current composters, the new bin proposal would take some of the organic matter that doesn't go well for amateurs... and worm farms ... alongside any garden waste. Use of the red bins (regular waste) will be substantially reduced with the breadth of materials able to be composted or recycled. Overall a long term substantial net gain to envir...onment, ratepayers and residents. (Check out recycling videos on Sunshine Coast Council and ECOllaboration Ltd social media pages for how to guides.) All views welcome. #wastemanagement #circulareconomy #greenwaste #wastetoenergy

07.01.2022 Each and every one of these great humans made a big contribution to the region during their Conservation and Land Management training period. With us they were learning and working on public land to make habitat improvements, and we know they will continue to make a difference in the Community. A small crew of representatives on the day as all our participants are employed or starting work this week! Proudly funded by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslande...rs for Work initiative. @skillingqueensland @sunshinecoastcouncil #successfulworkoutcomes #environmentaljobs #NRM

07.01.2022 Rebuilding a sand dune takes a fair bit of planning, some luck from Mother Nature and a tonne of elbow grease but it’s pretty satisfying to see the results. Our team were hard at it today revegetating this dune with a future canopy.
